Peace be on you. After the gap of 700 years, the first mosque in Spain (Basharat Mosque, Pedroabad) was built by Ahmadiyya Community; by the grace of Allah Almighty; now the second mosque has been raised in Valencia area, with humble emotions. The fifth Ahmadiyya Khalifah (may Allah help him) delivered Friday sermon on 29 th of March 2013, from the new mosque in Valencia (Mosque Baitur Rahman) and reminded the Community that they have to pay the rights of mosque by excelling in Taqwa / righteousness in all spheres of their lives and they have to take the message of Allah to all people with zeal and faster pace.
He stressed upon the servants of Messiah of Hadhrat Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) :
O- They should comprehend their own significance and spread the beautiful teaching of Islam, explained by Promised Messiah, to every person in the land with resolution, strategy and set goal.
O- Muslims in Spain saw hard times after their downfall in past. But now we must not think about revenge. We should win back the hearts, from which love for slogan ‘LA ELAHA ILLALLHO MUHAMMAD UR RASUL ULLAH’ (i.e. There is none worthy of worship but Allah, Muhammad is His Messenger) – was erased by use of greed and fear in past. We should fill their hearts with the love of Allah Whose love encompasses every thing and the love of Hadhrat Muhammad (s.a.w.) – the mercy for all humanity.
O- Besides taking the message to common, find the tribes who used to be Muslims in past and infuse in them the love of real way of Allah and turn them into source of further radition.
O- In the past, even in the time of weakness of Muslims in Spain, Muslims inValencia area were still trying to uphold their Islamic ways. In 17 th century, a plan was initiated to expel Muslims, it was started from Valencia. Their children were given to Christians as slaves. Trinity was forced upon them. Today Ahmadiyya Community should bring back the progenies of those children back to One God --- but--- with exercising love to all citizens and with the thoughts that ‘we like for others what we like for ourselves’.
O- There was role of internal weakness in decline of Muslims in Spain; there were conspiracies, there was lake of faithfulness with Khilafat (though it was of name only); neither Khalifah (King) did work well, nor high ranking people. There were scatterd small kingdoms. Selfishness bore results. ----- Now to regain the lost glory is the duty of followers of Khatamal Khula’fa, i.e. the Messiah of Muhammad, the flag bearer of Khilafat e Rashida of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.). Infact, call the whole world to the reality of ‘LA ELAHA ILLALLHO MUHAMMAD UR RASUL ULLAH’ .
O- The new mosque can be seen from motorway. The neighbourhood is polite. Use these advantages with wisdom. Check your own conditions, habits and keep eyes on your responsibilities.
O- Hadhrat Ibrahim and Hadhrat Ismael (peace be on them) has taught the way to pray while they were raising Ka’ba. They wanted that progenies after progenies of faithful should pay right of house of Allah:
‘And (remember the time) when Abraham and Ishmael raised the foundations of the House, (praying), ‘Our Lord, accept (this) from us; for Thou art All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
‘Our Lord, make us submissive to Thee and (make) of our offspring a people submissive to Thee. And show us our ways of worship, and turn to us with mercy; for Thou art Oft-Returning (with) compassion and Merciful.’ (2:128 – 129)
O- They prayed: ‘Rabbana Taqabbal Minna’ Our Lord accept (this) from us. Husband , wife and child (Hadhrat Ibrahim, Hajirah and Ismeal peace be on them) were offering full sacrifice from years but they did not mention it, they did not ask for worldy eases. They were such faithful that for the sake of Allah, the husband took wife and little son (born in latter years) to make them live in wilderness for long time; father was ready to sacrifice the son, the son presented himself. And then they were raising the Ka’ba. They knew there was no return and they have to populate house of Allah with people who would pay the right of worship of Allah at its best.
O- Promised Messiah perefectly obeyed and loved Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) and he is the (metaphoric) Ibrahim of this age as he raised the Deen (the way of Allah) again. His Community should think like Hadhrat Ibrahim (a.s.) and Hadhrat Ismael (a.s.). They should strive for the purpose of Ka’ba and present the beautiful teaching of Islam to the world. For that they should prostrate before Allah, and keep the aim in sight and fulfill the covenant and responsibilities. Aim of making Mosque Baitur Rahman in Valencia has this very purpose.
O- In this regard, the Community should remember:
---- Their covenant that they shall give precedence to faith over worldly matters.
---- To spread divine message through mosque.
---- To establish Touheed (Oneness of Allah).
---- To bring people (of the country) under the flag of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.).
---- To pray to Allah, Al Samee, Al Aleem to be able to fulfill the purpose of mosque made for the purpose of Ka’ba seeking cover of Allah.
---- To pay rights of Allah and rights of people.
---- To develop atmosphere of mutual love and kindness as taught by Islam, so that world is attracted.
---- To pray to gain the real spirit of making the mosque which is the passion of faithful who come to mosque. A mosque without soul does not work. (….Huge mosques in Spain, after decline of Muslims, were converted into Churches).
---- To pray: O Allah keep creating faithful who keep coming to the mosque with spirit.
---- To extend the virtues to next generations with prayer and practical attention.
---- To learn ways of worship taught by Allah.
--- To learn the ways of sacrifices required for the particular era…… This is the wisdom taught by Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) who told different virtues as highest virtues to to do, to different people; he (s.a.w.) taught accordingly……Simialry in this era, the Jihad required to propagate Islam is through peaceful communication. It requires financial sacrifices.
---- To understand the help of Allah is vital; ‘tub alaina’.
---- To pay special attention to Salaat which is felt difficult to pray to any individual and to pray collectively.
---- To pay rights to all kind of relatives and to neigbours.
---- To remember to be kind for others when you seek kindness from Allah.
---- To seek Allah’s blessings associated with mosque and seek His forgiveness.
---- To go to mosque with proper conditions (Ablution, intention, looking for next Salaat) by keeping in mind that Holy prophet (s.a.w.) has declared it as ‘Rebat’ i.e. to remain alert to defend borders (spiritual).
---- To remember Jihad-to-correct-the-self.
---- To seek Fazl / blessings of Allah, to offer Salaat, to convey Divine Message, to avoid weakness of the common society, to seek pleasure of Allah, to pray for our and our children's safety from filth present in era, to seek blessings of Allah, to offer pure worship with maximum humble efforts in the peaceful cause of Allah.
