I personally don't believe in holy objects if you might say. I think people are so desperate that they need something physical to believe that God is still truly with them. All the rosaries in the world wouldn't change my mind on my beliefs. It took a simple spiritual act to do so.

I got the same thing last year in the postal mail and threw it away because I did not ask to recieve it and figured it was a hoax.

No one loves ME enough to give me a prayer rug! :(

James 4:1 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? 2 You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. 3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

Reminds me of this creepy picture of Jesus that mum has on her wall...each time I look at it, I debate with myself all over again whether the eyes are open or shut. *shudder*

*shivers* Something like that would make me purposefully avoid wherever it's hung. Although I have a bad habit of forgetting why I'm avoiding a place and stumbling across it on the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. That's usually when a light from the hall will turn on and illuminate the painting/ piece, and... well, I usually scream in fear.

Yeah, it has that effect on me lol. I think mum has it in her office these days...it still freaks me out. It's very similar to the prayer rug pic pah posted, except for the ambiguity of the eyes. It's horrid.
