Some facts about crime

Fentanyl appears to be accelerating in use for a long time, with the same amount of seizures at the border, with more mention on FOX NEWS.

Superlinearity means that when a city reaches a certain population, instead of crime rising linearly with that population, it starts to accelerate.
Voting in an urban area is not the diagnosis of the problem, it is a symptom of the problem.
When covid hit, it hit urban areas hardest, making things still hard today, tempting crime further. This is a big reason for increased crime.

Population increases, demand increases, inflation increases, the amount of people struggling with money increases, and finally illegal drug use increases. Oh, and the availability of jobs decreases. That's how I see it at least.

So Fox News is fear mongering over increasing crime, and blaming it on immigrants? Color me surprised.

According to actual data (instead of amorphous xenophobic feelings) immigrants actually commit far less crime than US citizens. Here is one study covering crime rates from 2012-2018:

"We find that undocumented immigrants have substantially lower crime rates than native-born citizens and legal immigrants across a range of felony offenses. Relative to undocumented immigrants, US-born citizens are over 2 times more likely to be arrested for violent crimes, 2.5 times more likely to be arrested for drug crimes, and over 4 times more likely to be arrested for property crimes."
