Just asking,
Predictions, did Pelosi's tactics work? Was it all worth it?
will not debate or discuss *argue* just like to hear your opinions.
Mine?
-Trump will stay in office
-Pelosi's tactics didn't work
-Was not worth it except for the sick entertainment value
-Additionally, I think it will only help Trump in 2020

-Trump will stay in office. This was obvious to everyone from the beginning.
-I’m not sure what Pelosi’s goal has been, so I’m not sure if her tactics are working.
-probably not worth the effort, and really hasn’t been that entertaining.
-I could see the impact going either way. The whole thing is going to come down to turn-out anyway.

The antidote to Trump's gaslighting of Americans is the truth. The whole fight about it revolves around bringing the facts to the American people.

The Trump party is cowering in fear with one minion threatening to dox any who call for witnesses which is the subject of another thread. This proves how much the truth is feared.

-Trump will stay in office (but that was never in doubt)
-Nacy Pelosi attempt at seizing the support of the American population was a failure, but not by much. Last I heard, she started with about 50% of popular support for the impeachment and removal of Trump and remains pretty much at the same level right now.
-Was it worth it? I would say so. It's at least important to make a gesture that some behavior should not be tolerated. It's largelly symbolic, but it still matters. Even if you believe Trump did do anything wrong, he certainly did it in a very shaddy and improvised way at an innoportune moment.
-Will he win in 2020. Probably in my opinion, but he will lose the popular vote again and perhapse even more severely than before. I have very little faith in the American public to make reasonnable decisions.

Trump persistently exposes himself as vile, pathological, and ignorant.
Pelosi has managed to shift the focus from abuse to obstruction and GOP complicity.
Sometimes good prevails; sometimes it falls short. Much will depend on whether or not voter turnout is sufficient to compensate for efforts at voter suppression.

ALL of your points are correct.

Pelosi, against her better judgement, got rolled into impeachment by the jihadists with TDS in her party.

After doing everything possible in the house to weight the process, the Democrats came up with a brutally weak set of impeachment articles, unable to convince one Republican to side with them. The first time in impeachment history where an impeachment was not bi partisan.

Seeing the weakness of the articles, Pelosi slowed the process that was said to be urgent by the Democrats. Her hope was to take enough time for something, anything to pop up to bolster the articles.

In addition, she wanted to muddy the waters as far as possible in the senate trial, to add credence to cryin chuck and his senate demands. She hoped, in some forlorn manner, to force Mc Connell to cave to her demands.

Another reason she held the articles, being a good establishment Democrat, is to chain Bernie Sanders to his desk in the senate for the entire duration of the trial there, and keep him from campaigning close to the Iowa caucus, while Biden id free to do whatever he wants. Last time around they found a way to block the nomination from him, this is just another play from the same playbook.

As time went by, and nothing changed, she had to cave.

The entire thing was a fiasco, and for those who claim Pelosi is a brilliant political tactician, she acted like a dullard in allowing impeachment, claiming the urgent need to complete it as quickly as possible, then proving that to be a lie by her actions, and except for tying up Sanders, she has failed.

In the long run, the mess the Democrats created will be to Trumps advantage

Years of preparing for impeachment by the democrats will be shown to be wasted in two weeks, or less, in the senate. Trump absolutely will not be removed, and the people have long since have begun to be tired of the whole thing.

Voter suppression ? Nonsense. There are thousands of dead democrats lining up to vote right now.

Voter suppression is the urban myth democrats roll out to excuse their losses.

Every time I think of the fact Pelosi is Italian, I feel like committing suicide
There once was a hilarious book, and then a movie called "The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight".

They were a group of mafia rejects who formed their own gang. They were totally inept, and funny.

Pelosi represents that gang, rather than Machiavelli.

We will find out next week. More she stalls, the better it is for Trump.

The only thing the wicked witch did is simply prove to the public that the socialist Democrats are a worthless do nothing party. At least they are not doing the country more harm than they have done already.

This little hobby of theirs keeps them out of trouble while allowing the Republicans do the real work of running a country properly without further interference from their idiotic childish antics.

They will probably bus them in.

People regularly tweet incessantly about things they don’t care about.
He cares about what he perceives as a plotted unwarranted attack on him, and the forces that brought it about.

As to how it affects his place in history, or the historical view of him, I think he is pretty unconcerned about that.
