I don't spend any time thinking about what my body is made up of because to me it's eerie and turns me off. I like to think of myself as spiritual in nature. I give that thought from time to time with good feelings. Reflecting on God can be eerie too but also a great comfort if thought of properly.

I get the feeling that a lot of philosophical idealism stems from a sense of profound discomfort with the idea that we are sacks of bone, flesh, and a variety of fluids, as if the material and mundane nature of our lives was somehow a source of shame or disgust.

Didn't you claim in the other thread that God was the universe?

So God is not material after all?

I don't believe pantheism or panentheism asserts that god is just the corporeal aspect of the universe, but that the universe is more than material and inseparable from god.
