Rainbow Mage
Lib Democrat/Agnostic/Epicurean-ish/Buddhist-ish
I have noticed in my studies of the ancient religions that they seem to have shared many similarities. One of their similarities is how they viewed life after death. I have rarely found a religion of the ancient world that believed in the modern concept of heaven and hell. Most of them thought the dead all went to the same place.
Today we refer to this concept collectively as "the Underworld". Many ancient societies believed this is where one went after death. Some believed it was a literal place, while some believed it was merely the grave, such as the Jews.
