Two birds can fly
Immortally caught
I see them now
I've watched their escape
Though now I see them
Caught in flight
I see their wings
I see the feathers
I see the sea
In which the wings
Fly above and sing
I see the crest of the wave
The sea become shallow
Shadows casting upon
The next wave which follows
I taste the cold iron
Spreading down my spine
I've lost the memories now
The attempt....but why
No cold sand upon my feet
No wings to let fly
No wind upon my crest
Only a foolish fail
But I see them
Wings bright in the light
No sound but the beauty
Breaks this poor sight
The song rings soft
As the tide rolls in
Another day rises
The crest of the wave
Glitters
The birds fly
And are gone
Quietly but resounding
As I remove the cold iron
A song of quiet
Trapped in a moment
Immortally caught
I see them now
I've watched their escape
Though now I see them
Caught in flight
I see their wings
I see the feathers
I see the sea
In which the wings
Fly above and sing
I see the crest of the wave
