Seekers often do not get to read as much into Sikhi as other religions, perhaps because it is a relatively new religion or there is simply not much awareness.
Sikhi is a universal religion which believes:
* That there is one Universal Creator God. He is everywhere, in everyone so we ought to respect all regardless of race, gender etc (and everyones equal).
* Meditation to experience the One Creator
* The evil is inside you, your temptations and vices (lust, anger, ...), you have to subdue them with virtues (love, wisdom, humility, forgiveness, etc)
* Lead a normal family life, earning your livelihood honestly and sharing with others.
* Standing up against injustice.
* Sikh history is full of beautiful chapters (precursors to Red Cross and the Human Rights etc)
