Jesus referred to his disciples as servants.

Must one then only be christian and serving only Christianity and christians? or is that just another form of egoism; when serving one's own self-interest and excluding anyone who isn't under the "christian" works?

There is a very interesting scripture in 1 John. It says that everyone who works righteousness is, quoting:
1 John 2:29 . . .If YOU know that he is righteous, YOU gain the knowledge that everyone who practices righteousness has been born from him.
Thus, those who avoid wickedness and live righteous lives 'have been born from our Lord'.

Naturally, this is the righteousness defined in scripture.

Is it a form of egoism when one's self-interest is to love their next? I assume that they serve to be in Christ this way. How you put it sounds like a twist of words and meaning.

    tzaddik, like melchizedek.

to practice charity, love is the beginning of wisdom. melchizedek destroyed sodom because of its inhospitable nature and inhumane treatment of the poor and needy.

    Ezekiel 16:49
“‘Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy.

    Tzedakah in Judaism
In Judaism, tzedakah—a Hebrew term literally meaning righteousness but commonly used to signify charity[13]—refers to the religious obligation to do what is right and just.[14] Because it is commanded by the Torah and not voluntary, the practice is not technically an act of charity; such a concept is virtually nonexistent in Jewish tradition. Jews give tzedakah, which can take the form of money, time and resources to the needy, out of "righteousness" and "justice" rather than benevolence, generosity, or charitableness.[14] The Torah requires that 10 percent of a Jew's income be allotted to righteous deeds or causes, regardless if the receiving party is rich or poor.

jesus said he who wishes to be greatest must be servant to all. serving one's favorite is not serving god. god is not a respecter of person even if some people are.

tell the child who speaks to you in whispers, the one no one else can hear but you, hello and don't stop dancing.

Nature flows wherever it pleases. It fills everything. You hear its sound, you feel it's rhythm but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Nature.
