Thats some great news that is welcomed in a world that has enough bad news.

"The ancient massive trees of Sequoia National Park’s famed Giant Forest are unscathed even though a wildfire has been burning near them in California’s Sierra Nevada for nearly two weeks.

THREE RIVERS, Calif. (AP) — The ancient massive trees of Sequoia National Park’s famed Giant Forest were unscathed Tuesday even though a wildfire has been burning near them on the western side of California’s Sierra Nevada for nearly two weeks.

“As of right now we don’t have any damage to any of our trees,” said fire information officer Mark Garrett."

I visited it a few years ago. Glad to hear it survived. They're good at that. From that trip:

Thats cool. I haven't been there. I had a chance when I was 16 and my parents went....stay home with my parents gone for two weeks or go with them. Of course I chose to stay home and had a blast lol

It has been tense. Those trees, so majestic amd some of them so ancient, they are truly a wonder to behold. If would a tragedy to lose them.
