Seems like Zakir Naik's goose has been cooked.

Two of the Dhaka terrorists were his followers. Reports say that other terrorists (in Bangladesh and in India) also followed him. His 'Peace TV' does not have a licence in India. The Information and Broadcasting ministry has asked police to check who are the channel owners who are streaming "Peace TV', and have asked them to confiscate their equipment if they do not stop streaming 'Peace TV'. Zakir Naik is presently out of India. When and if he comes back (it is possible that he may not return to India), he will be interrogated by the police. Police is checking his videos, speeches and writing to check if they promote terrorism or religious discord. For the last ten-years Congress/Sonia government had given him a free hand. Digvijay Singh, a Congress leader, even called Zakir Naik a messenger of peace. At the moment, Bombay police has strengthened security around his office to avoid any damage in case Hindu extremists try to attack it.

That all will be checked when he comes back to India. He will be asked to explain if police find anything objectionable. We have a strong impartial judicial system.

Muslim clerics and people protested against Zakir Naik's brand of Islam on this Eid.

Paarsurrey, if you think this is startling, you haven't been following the news regarding Zakir Naik for a very long. For me, it was not surprising at all, and I suspect the worst is yet to come. Perhaps even radical Muslims will commit terrorist acts against peaceful Muslims in India. Then it will be expected that Naik will blame the Hindus.

Wanna bet that he plays the victim card and screams about being persecuted and oppressed? It would certainly make for one hilarious trial.

He will sure do that. And it will be all over the world. "After Christians, Hindus target Muslims". But as I said our Courts will go by the letter of law. Tens of terrorists had to be released because the police could not gather enough evidence to nail them. For example, the Mufti at the Godhra mosque, where a crowd burnt a rail compartment, and which was the beginning of the Gujarat riots, was set free for the same reason. And 24 Hindus whom the Court found involved in riots were sentenced to imprisonments ranging from life to ten years after 14 years of the incident. The same will happen with Zakir Naik. It depends on what evidence police provide to the Courts.

That is what is happening in Kashmir. The policemen are mostly Muslim. Terrorist attacks kills police or civilians who are mostly Muslims. Security forces and police kill terrorists (Kashmiris or Pakistanis) who too are Muslims. I do not know why they are continuing the conflict for the last 30 years and what they gain by it? It is no more than an irritant to us. Kashmir has a democratically elected government which is a combine of Muslims and Hindus in equal measure.

I am not interested in the Politics of Pakistan and or India, the enmity between the two is superfluous, so why waste time on it. Ordinary man casts votes once when the general elections are held. In between the two the ruling-elite do the politics and ordinary man is just a non-entity.
There are other aspects to life that are more important, where we can improve upon.
I don't know if Zakir Naik is involved in politics.

It's being ILLEGALLY broadcast. The problem isn't the law, its enforcement of the law. Same with internet providers. It's hard world wide to stop the propagation of hate messages like his, but we all must try. If not, only more bombings by his followers.
