    I tried really hard to understand christianity. The conclusion I got is that christianity alone doesn't stand on it's own feet. Christianity needs other religions in order to make sense. I think burning the witches is disgusting. It's high time christianity embrace pagan religions (especially dharmic), in my opinion. When christianity stops saying it's the only ''truth'', the world will be a better place.

    I think the world would be a better place when people would stop believing things on bad or no evidence.
    And that would pretty much mean the end of all religions.

    There are more than 30,000-40,000 denominations of Christianity
    How many christian denominations worldwide?
    Each denomination is different from one another
    Each has its own doctrines and manner of worship

    [IMG]

    So what is Christianity?
    Where is the sense?
    Where is the truth among the 30,000-40,000 denominations?
    Are there multiple truths or multiple lies? Which makes sense?

    That's what many people say about math... after 15 minutes

    Interesting, it has stood on its own two feet for 2000 years and now it can't?

    Someone forgot to tell me :D

    Agreed... So glad that Christianity doesn't support it.

    :) Everyone is entitle to an opinion

    Or... when everyone stops saying the Christianity must conform to your position, the world will be a better place :D

    While I reject all assertions of such and such making "the world a better place" you do realize that Christianity is not monolithic and there are already many, many branches of it that do exactly this?

    You mean what the Bible say?

    1 Corinthians 12:20-25 New International Version (NIV)
    As it is, there are many parts, but one body.

    The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.

    I believe the Christian denominations are in conflict with each other.
    There was a time when Protestants and Catholics were fighting it out with each other

    European wars of religion
    European wars of religion - Wikipedia

    Therefore there are many denominations but one body doesn't fit with 1 Cor 12:20-25
    That one body is the Church established by Christ
    Not some King, Emperor, or pastor who got an idea of establishing a church for monetary gain or his own personal agenda.

    With 30,000-40,000 denominations in Christianity
    Either all of them are false or
    One of them is true and the rest is false

    Did Christ said in

    Matthew 16:18
    And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

    What is the name of the church Christ built?
    Did he or his apostles say it is the:
    Orthodox church?
    Catholic church?
    Protestant church?
    Does this church have a name?
    And are you a member of this church owned by Christ?
    Or is everybody a member of the church owned by somebody else?
    And does it matter?

    I believe....
    Either all of them are false or

    No. It never stood in it's own feet. Christianity hijacked judaism and paganism.

    They killed people in the dark ages. Also they killed women as witches. Now there are laws in countries who forbid killing.

    Christians don't get along with eachother, so they built thousand churches.

    Bull. Judaism was the foundation for Christianity BEFORE Christianity was born. Christianity is the true fulfillment of Old Testament Judaism.

    As for borrowing from paganism, that also is a farce. Which one in particular? Document who borrowed what, when, and where? Here's why your claim of Christian dependency on paganism is a farce:

    23 Reasons Why Scholars Know Jesus Is Not A Copy Of Pagan Religions.

    As scholars Nash, McKenzie, and others have pointed out, the vast majority of so-called pagan myth similarities to Christ are not found until after his life, death, and resurrection.

    You sound like someone who hasn't done his homework. How much time have you actually spent studying the New Testament in depth? Have you read the following books? If not, then why not?

    "The Historical Jesus," by scholar Dr. Gary Habermas;
    "New Evidence that Demands a Verdict," by former skeptic Josh McDowell;
    "Baker Encyclopedia of Christian Apologetics," by Dr. Norman Geisler;
    "The Case for Christ," by Lee Strobel," and
    "The Case for the Resurrection of Jesus," by Dr. Gary Habermas.
