Sean Spicer resigns

"'I love the president and it's an honour to be here,' he said."

Scaramucci was required to say that in order to get the job.

(Except he didn't say "honor" with a "u" in it.)

How is the spelling relevant, especially if it was spoken and not written?

Eh, he did the best with what he had. I don't blame him. It is a tough gig.

I have to admit, I'm surprised he didn't quit over getting tired of all the nonsense he had to say, always resorting to "it's what the president believes."

The media are reporting that Sean Spicer has resigned in protest over the appointment of Anthony Scaramucci as White House communications director:

White House press secretary Sean Spicer resigns - BBC News

Honestly, I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did, but I didn't expect this to be why he'd resign.
I can't say I blame him, for a NUMBER of reasons related to that particular job with that particular employer. I would've been down on a bender if I were in his shoes, probably...
