Compared to the pro lobby, no.

In the UK, the right says "Why do the left always go to the streets?" the reason is that they don't have the 'old school tie' network.
Simply wrong. You mentioned the NRA, of which I am a member. Assuming you aren´t an American, please tell me what you know about the NRA, I am curious.

Lefty organizations spend massive amounts of money to influence politicians.

Lefties go to the streets as a hovering threat of violence perpetrated against society, a form of extortion.

Lenin understood this very well.

You never see right wing thugs on the streets.

Look we aren't going to agree, lets agree to disagree.

If they haven't had a majority for 50 years, why do you say "Now, fearing that finally their lock hold on the Supreme court is changing,"?
They have had reliable swing voters since the Warren court on the major issues.

That is the point.

Fine with me, agreed on disagreement is what makes the world go round.

If you ever want to learn what the NRA actually is, and what it does, and why it has millions of members, let me know, I would be happy share with you.

Or maybe you are so far to one side that anything remotely close to the centre seems "liberal" to you
Nope, wrong. I can see by how you spell center that you are not an American. Do you know what the center positions are on major issues ? Say immigration, or abortion, or federal government regulations ?

Probably not. I am a center right Republican, I am not a socialist or libertarian. I support center right positions, as most of America does.

Centre does not equal median.

Do you think that having a (potentially) highly partisan SC that serves for life is a good idea btw? So that one side, through luck of the draw, could in theory create decades of political advantage?

Or do you think it would be better to have fixed terms with 1/2 replaced every presidential term so the court will be more reflective of recent voting patterns, and you are more likely to choose the best person for the job, rather than the youngest person you can find? (or some other system?)
