Scientists Are "Changing God's Creation. Why? Because They Want To Be God."

There are a couple of those fake meat patties that I have actually found to be pretty tasty. I cannot recall a brand name, though.

I think he may have been reacting partially to news that scientists were getting closer to creating a meat that could be grown in a lab. It has the potential of being much "greener" than beef. The first hamburger patty of lab grown meat was a little on the spendy side at a cost of $300,000 for one patty it is not going to be in the supermarket quite yet. But technology makes things better and cheaper. Now it is down to $600 a patty and in a few years could be a competitive with real meat. That was a drop of roughly 500 times and needs to drop by that factor again:

It's true. Lucifer's Old Home Buffets were located everywhere. LOHB was the home of the Fakey, Fakey Jr. and the Fakey with cheese. Let me not forget the the triple fake meat patty Fakey King with a side of fries and some mead to wash it down.

I make a fantastic variety of phony burgers with oatmeal, a variety coarse ground and sprouted whole grains, shredded veggies, mushrooms, hot pepper flakes. garlic, onions, topped with topped with high quality provolone and smoked gouda cheese. It is great way to seduce the devil.

I acknowledge my own carnivorous nature, but I like to try things like you described for variety and health. I realize that high meat diets do have their drawbacks, so I like to know of tasty alternatives and do take advantage of those that I find delicious.

I have a real affinity for grainy flavors too, so that helps. Your oat burgers and all the extras sound pretty tempting.

Dunno...I had already fallen off my chair by the time he got to Lucifers fake hamburgers...I didn't get any further.
It went from Lucifers Famous Fake Hamburgers to scientists wanting to be God pretty quickly. I wonder if he realizes he is comedy gold?

I thought at first it was about veggie burgers, but I believe lab-grown meat was the real sign of Lucifer that he so richly fears. In his world, God gave man an intellect to discover how to produce meat, but to do so is the work of the Devil somehow. It does not make a lot of sense, but I bet he causes the wallets to come out when he spins his tales.

You heard it here first. :D
Wow! That is non-trivially loopy!

God will destroy the earth again because of vegi-meat.
Vegi-meat burgers are the Devil's attack on the soul.
The soul is a DNA-dependent entity.
Vegi-meat is an existential threat to the environment.

I mean, WOW!

Is he a writer for Marvel Comics in his spare time?

In his Súriy-i-Haykal (Tablet of the Temple) Bahá’u’lláh describes his vision as follows:
"While engulfed in tribulations I heard a most wondrous, a most sweet voice, calling above My head. Turning My face, I beheld a Maiden - the embodiment of the remembrance of the name of My Lord — suspended in the air before Me. So rejoiced was she in her very soul that her countenance shone with the ornament of the good-pleasure of God, and her cheeks glowed with the brightness of the All-Merciful. Betwixt Earth and Heaven she was raising a call which captivated the hearts and minds of men. She was imparting to both My inward and outer being tidings which rejoiced My soul, and the souls of God's honored servants. Pointing with her finger unto My head, she addressed all who are in Heaven and all who are on Earth saying: "By God! This is the best beloved of the worlds, and yet ye comprehend not. This is the Beauty of God amongst you, and the power of His sovereignty within you, could ye but understand."

That

Thatś one, are there more ? Exactly how many are there ?

From: Galileo affair - Wikipedia
The Galileo affair (Italian: il processo a Galileo Galilei) was a sequence of events, beginning around 1610,[1] culminating with the trial and condemnation of Galileo Galilei by the Roman Catholic Inquisition in 1633 for his support of heliocentrism.[2]

In 1610, Galileo published his Sidereus Nuncius (Starry Messenger), describing the surprising observations that he had made with the new telescope, namely the phases of Venus and the Galilean moons of Jupiter. With these observations he promoted the heliocentric theory of Nicolaus Copernicus (published in De revolutionibus orbium coelestium in 1543). Galileo's initial discoveries were met with opposition within the Catholic Church, and in 1616 the Inquisition declared heliocentrism to be formally heretical. Heliocentric books were banned and Galileo was ordered to refrain from holding, teaching or defending heliocentric ideas.[3]

Galileo went on to propose a theory of tides in 1616, and of comets in 1619; he argued that the tides were evidence for the motion of the Earth. In 1632 Galileo published his Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems, which implicitly defended heliocentrism, and was immensely popular. Responding to mounting controversy over theology, astronomy and philosophy, the Roman Inquisition tried Galileo in 1633 and found him "vehemently suspect of heresy", sentencing him to indefinite imprisonment. Galileo was kept under house arrest until his death in 1642.

Christians should be doing the work for him.
Why ? Itś a free country, and there are aiways outliers and aberrant people. They can believe whatever they choose.

Trolling for them in an attempt at guilt by association for the millions upon millions of Christians is a pitiful and feeble attempt at a smear of us all.

Juvenile tactics, at best.

So you are OK that people do this in the name of Christianity and Christians that recognize this foolishness should just set on their hands and do nothing. Is it better to attack atheists then? That seems hypocritical.

We may not always agree, but I find the stuff that Skwim posts to be some of the more interesting and useful material that gets posted here. In this case he has revealed to me that there are some Christians that argue Christians should just look away and let this rot spread.

IT was the policy of the church to suppress science by force with the sentence of death, and these two are the most well known examples.

They burned scientists not veggie burgers.
You have listed two. How many scientists do you think have lived ?

Ever heard of alchemists ? Early scientists, thousands of them flourished with no interference by the church.

What would you have us do ? Go out and shoot them ? They are disavowed by by most denominations, if not all.

There is that nasty thing called the Constitution that precludes Christians, even atheists, from denying them the right to practice what they believe. So, I ask again, what do you want us ti do ? What are you going to do ?

Attacking atheist´s, what a hoot. Unless you are totally disingenuous, you must recognize who does the attacking in this Forum. Atheists stand in line to take their shots at people of faith, especially Christians.

I see Christians attacking atheists on here all the time. I did not mean to buck the double standard. What was I thinking? You guys probably have a lot political overlap too. My bad.
