Great Attractor - Wikipedia

The Shapley Supercluster or Shapley Concentration (SCl 124) is the largest concentration of galaxies in our nearby universe that forms a gravitationally interacting unit, ‘THEREBY PULLING ITSELF TOGETHER INSTEAD OF EXPANDING WITH THE UNIVERSE.’ It appears as a striking overdensity in the distribution of galaxies in the constellation of Centaurus. It is 650 million light years away (z=0.046).

The first indications of a deviation from uniform expansion of the universe were reported in 1973 and again in 1978. The location of the Great Attractor was finally determined in 1986: it is situated at a distance of somewhere between 150 and 250 Mly (million light years) (47–79 Mpc) (the latter being the most recent estimate) from the Milky Way, in the direction of the constellations Triangulum Australe (The Southern Triangle) and Norma (The Carpenter’s Square).[4] While objects in that direction lie in the Zone of Avoidance (the part of the night sky obscured by the Milky Way galaxy) and are thus difficult to study with visible wavelengths, X-ray observations have revealed that the region of space is dominated by the Norma cluster (ACO 3627),[5][6] a massive cluster of galaxies containing a preponderance of large, OLD GALAXIES MANY OF WHICH ARE COLLIDING WITH THEIR NEIGHBOURS AND RADIATING LARGE AMOUNTS OF RADIO WAVES.

The universe is expanding???

As it turns out, the Great Attractor is nothing lugubrious, but rather a perfectly conventional collection of galaxies that only came to our notice now, but even so, could the accumulation annihilate us in a colossal collision?

Well…no. The Great Attractor won’t stay around for long — superclusters are ephemeral. Like a tower of Jenga, small clusters will sustain themselves, but superclusters will eventually fall apart and fail to justify their name.

In the contest between expansion and contraction, expansion triumphs. The expansion of the Universe, now credited to what is known as Dark energy will rip these superclusters apart and drive them away from each other. We will never reach the focal point in the first place.

So say our scientists, but can they be trusted?

According to scriptures, this universe will meet a fiery end before disappearing, after which God will create a new Heavens and a new earth=A new universe.

See Revelation 20: 11, 2 Peter 3: 10, and other verses.

Enoch who was anointed as the heir to the throne of the Most High in the creation, was carried to the ends of this universe, where he witnessed the heavenly bodies burn up and fall as massive columns of fire beyond all measure in height and depth into the Great Abyss, beyond which there was nothing, and he describes the Great Abyss, as the prison of all the stars and the hosts of heaven.

Selective misuse of scientific references.
