I hear so many times about David Duke and Trump.

So a solid example is amply provided with Biden and his bestest buddy the late Mr Byrd in the same exact vernacular. Clasping hands with a victory pose to boot.

The lefts response?

"Oh no, thats different".
It's always different.
Any remote similarity is "False Equivalancy!!!".

He is indifferent to churches and embraces Evangelical Christianity
Trump is not indifferent to churches.
He teargassed one. Because he knew that lying, while holding up a Bible in front of a church, would win him votes.
Trump totally believes in God and church.

Make media that Christians like, and God will deliver their votes.

By being indifferent is not good. He has no religious nor moral and ethical foundation, and how he acts toward churches is 'Who like Him,' and what is to his pleasure and benefit.
