Let me be clear about this: the Bible is not a science book.
However, with that being said - I couldn't help but see the science in it.
From an evolutionist's perspective - Genesis is loaded!

    Like this one:

    Genesis 1
20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life,

Moving creatures that has life, came to life in the water!
salt water.....freshwater pond ........water is water.

Doesn't that strikes a chord with Darwinists?

Did you have her hear of breaking water during pregnancy? Or her water broke?

I think Genesis is a metaphorical allegory relating water with the process of birth.

There's clearly no scientific principles to be extrapolated from the Bible. That much should be obvious by now.

    On genders.....

    Genesis 1
20 And God said, “Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birdsg]">[g] fly above the earth across the expanse of the heavens.” 21 So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 23 And there was evening and there was morning, the fifth day.

24 And God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds—livestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds.” And it was so. 25 And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

26 Then God said, “Let us make manh]">[h] in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

27 So God created man in his own image,
    in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

All the creatures that God created - He just spoke them into creation. He told them to be fruitful and multiply.
Nothing is stated about genders. But the phrase, "after their kind" is repeatedly stated. Why?

The only time God referred to genders - male and female - was when He created man. Why?

Is it a coincidence that God never mentioned any genders when it came to the creation of creatures?
And the phrase, "after their kind," is repeated?

Science discovered that some creatures are asexual. They can reproduce without having any mate.

Lol. This one really floored me!

    How about the snake!
Genesis implies that the snake used to not slither on its belly - meaning, it must've had legs or limbs before a curse was put on it.

    Genesis 3
14 So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,

“Cursed are you above all livestock
    and all wild animals!

You will crawl on your belly
    and you will eat dust

all the days of your life.

    Well?

Boy, how could I have forgotten about that?
This should've been at the top of the list - the first 3 words of Genesis 1:1

    IN THE BEGINNING.......

That's very much confirmed by science that the universe had a beginning!

    Genesis 1
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called the Seas: and God saw that it was good.

Waters gathered into one place. Land appeared.
By that, it must mean God had created one mass of dry land, and one great body of water called, "seas."

The Bible must be referring to the super continent called Pangaea, and the single giant ocean called, Panthalassa!

    Well.....according to science....

    Facts About Pangaea, Ancient Supercontinent

    to be continued.......more to come.

No, science cannot confirm our physical existence had a beginning or not. Science has not confirmed whether our universe began as a singularity or it is cyclic, or science has reasonable evidence that the universe is part of a greater physical existence possibly a multiverse,

What is a Darwinist and why would they think this passage reflects a reference to science. Genesis also states that plants and animals were created on land too.

Folks, knee-jerk responses would most likely go unanswered...........unless I think they're worth responding to.

So you can interpret this one way and others, another. Still others another way. That is hardly evidence of what has been determined by science.

    You miss the point, Dan.

I'm not saying everything written in Genesis is confirmed by, or is consistent with science! I'm only giving the ones that are!

Please folks, take a deep breath before responding!
Gee....just with my initial post - some of you reacted like popcorn that just got nuked in the microwave!
    You all started popping! [IMG]

If God created everything just as it is, then how could something be both as it is and have had legs at one time. You got some splainin' to do Lucy.

The fact that science cannot determine whether our physical existence had a beginning or not is not a knee jerk reaction, because it is simply the state of our knowledge today, and the evidence of the possibility that our universe part of a greater multiverse.

Are you still burning because I pointed out that you were sort of manic in your delivery in your last thread? I guess so. At least it is confirmation that I was right and that you still sting from it. LOL!

Anyway, what are you trying to say here? The people that wrote Genesis obviously made some simple observations that anyone could. They could accidentally have written something that later turned out to be a close, general approximation of something determined about the natural world using science. This means what?

If that's how you wanna take it - then I suppose, nothing is really determined!
Kindly remind all evolutionists about that! Even with all its holes - they tend to think evolution is a fact!
    Tell them!

    Anyway...whether manic or not....here I am again!

Lol. I have to ask......are you my shadow? Am I a magnet to you?
