No. Only gays make tsunamis happen. Those Fine American Scientists have taught us this.

39 years later. There's better late than never and then there's taking the biscuit!

It's true! I saw a gay parade in Colorado once, and not more than seven weeks later, there was a hurricane in the Caribbean!

No kidding. The gods and spirits of science and technology sure have been busy lately.

I only wish the gods and spirits of common sense where as equally busy.

Part of the problem is that the "common" component of "common sense" is somewhat of a misnomer.

God's mission here is to save souls, not bodies. Moreover, what's the point of repairing your body then later on put you to hell? It doesn't make any sense for God to repair your body, unless He would like a miracle as a mean for His salvation work.

Or, God does its/her/his work through science and human beings. Or, God places the desire to help people in human hearts.

A belief in the forces that create and uphold life isn't dependent upon a belief in miracles.

If this world were all about the good being rich, beautiful, or healthy the question might make some sense. But that is not why G-d created man or the earth. We are here to grow spiritually. People do not grow from having things handed to them on a silver platter. We grow through trial and tribulation.

It has often been said that we cannot change many of the things around us, but we can change our attitude. When faced with trials, choose ways to turn those lemons into lemonade. Choose to find the light in the darkest corner. Heal the world and begin with yourself. And learn from the experience along the way.

But is it necessary I.e could God not have created a world where people grow from positives? In fact it would seem that tribulations are very damaging to people especially when it occurs to children. I've worked at a prison and while I am skeptical to how honest their stories are I encountered a large amount of people who has gone through tribulations and due to that they now are I prisoner with a host of psychological issues. Now that's not to say that some haven't grown from that, but there are also plenty who did not go through such tribulations who have also grown. So what degree of tribulation is needed to actually foster spiritual growth and why are some subjected to torture compared to others?

I know a girl who was raped would you say that she's now going to go through that tribulation? How about those with PTSD from war torn areas? What if they don't grow which a lot of them don't what would you say to them?

Modern medicine does some good in improving health and prolonging life. But God's purpose is far grander and longer lasting than anything possible today by modern science. God promises to " wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore."(Revelation 21:4) Jesus Christ displayed God's ability and desire to heal mankind, by miraculously healing all sorts of infirmities, and even raising the dead. Man's cures are temporary, God's cures are everlasting.

The lack of tribulations can also be damaging. Humans, on the whole, seem to fare better when we have obstacles to overcome.

And yours was to use humanity's accomplishment to ridicule theism and no doubt believe that you've actually proven your point. How sad that you would taint something so special with something so petty.

And what's the point of investing a soul with sin only to save it later on?
