Saudi judge condemns 'immoral TV'

because;

3 / AL- `IMRAN - 7: He (Allah) is the one Who has sent the Book down to you. In it are some basic or fundamental verses (of established meaning; closed to doubts or comments), which are (clear and meaningful enough) in UMMUL KITAB (Mother of the Book). Others are allegorical (need explanation for the real meaning; have hidden meaning) verses. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the allegorical part of the Book, wishing to do mischief and interpreting them as they want. However no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. And those who are RASIHUN (firmly grounded in knowledge; the owner of RUSUH) say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of it is sent down from our Lord." None will grasp the Message but ULUL ELBAB (men of understanding; men to whom the secrets of Allah are revealed)

.

so some men profess to know the meaning, and some others dissagree?

answer requires entire knowledge of Tasawwuf. but i'd try to explain shortly.

ego has vices. each vice is a characteristic of Satan. everyone is always inspired by satanic or divine sources. Islam invites people to purify ego from vices. if a man, by submitting himself to Allah, turns all the vices into virtues then those characteristics of Satan could not be found in his heart which means satanic source would not be able to inspire him. those are named as Ul'ul Elbab in Qur'an. as they could never be inspired by demonic sources, their explanation of certain verses would be given directly from divine source. a person can not become Ul'ul Elbab because he reads all the books and studies a lot, or because he perform salaats, fasting...etc. those are tools of course but Ul'ul Elbab is very high level of Islam/Submission.

 we ? who are "we" ? I am an egyptian too , and i don't think we are sooo perfect to start making jokes of others...
can't you just criticize one man without putting a whole country on your * joking list * ?

honey  . If you are really egyptian then you know what im saying is true. The saudi government in general is just infamous for being absurdly conservative. Its not just this Sauid clerk that needs change, the whole government system needs an attitude adjustment.

So according to this cleric/judge, are we suppose to kill people who think women have a right to drive a car?

lol. :D I hope you are not serious. Driving cars or not driving for women have nothing to do with religion. It's just about society.

That's the problem. You (not you personally, but Muslims in general) don't criticise your fellow-brothers enough, if they are doing something wrong - legally or morally wrong.

Yes sir, you are right. Everytime we criticise our fellow muslim, we will post that all over the internet and send you a personal e-mail of the details to decleare us to be up to your standard.

how so? you know, we are individuals. therefor labeling all Saudis as if they were all the same is utterly wrong. not just Muslims, everyone should defend human rights. but you are not willing to defend Saudis when they are labeled or you don't criticize the expression 'damn Saudis'. why? that would be nice to see you applying your standards for Muslims as well. practice first, then preach...THAT, i would admire.

I didn't say all Saudis, or all Muslims, for that matter.

When a Muslim "say" or "do" something wrong, then his words, belief or action, that may be legally or morally wrong, then something should be done to counter it.

And I don't mean just a Muslim to a non-Muslim; I am referring to what a Muslim may say or do other Muslims.

Doing or saying nothing don't help Islam. Excusing Muslims who do bad would only make other good Muslims and Islam look bad.

and i am saying i agree with you. but i can't help noticing that there are not so many non-Muslims who speak out for Muslims when they're judged mercilessly. only a Muslim paid attention to expression of 'damn Saudis' is just an example for that. world could be a better place if non-Muslims protected Muslims and Muslims protected non-Muslims. i am just saying :)

Some Muslims' time is precious, they won't spend their entire life criticizing every single Muslim wrongdoer, there are many other things in life to do, you know!! God!!!

God!!!
But Muslims have plenty of times to criticize any Christian, or Jew, or Wiccan, or witch, or pagan, or atheist, etc, who do or say something wrong, here, in the media or elsewhere. :D

I guess they need to live more than one life so that they can find the plenty time to criticize every single Christian, Jewish, Pagan, Atheist..... wrongdoer.

Dude, internet is a virtual world. I can't spend all my life here explaining what i do in my daily life.

I just come here to discuss what i don't have the chance to do so when amongst my friends, family, etc.

What is the point of me coming here talking and ranting about Muslims or the wrong things they do, instead, i'll go and try to CHANGE that wrong doing instead of complaining about it here. I don't need your approval nor your sympathy. We have an integrity and we don't need you to feel pity for us. What i come here for is to talk to DIFFERENT people than the people i meet everyday. If this site was just for Muslims, i wouldn't stay here at all. I stayed here because i needed to LEARN more about others and what they believe in.

I wanted to change the image your media imposed on me about you and many other people in the west. If i didn't come here i wouldn't know that there are people who are fair, people who respect others, people who seek friendship and care about the well fare of the world. I just came here to see people like you and others, to know how you think, and how you see me, and why we always misunderstand each other and what we believe in.

I came here to learn about religion, politics, and culture. I came to share that with people, not to spam the forums with my problems and what muslims do and don't do. You can find what Muslims do all around the internet, but you spend too little time to understand that they don't represents all the Muslims.

I advice you to spend more time in LEARNING and UNDERSTANDING instead of complaining and whining about what you know and don't know.
