Satanist leads prayer at city council meeting

Why are you complaining so much? Surely you are getting what you wanted when you started the thread.

I wanted actual thoughts. Their knee-jerk reaction didn't include thinking of any kind.

Estrino Felino gave here reaction and thoughts, as you asked but you condemn here for that and start mocking her on behalf of everyone (see post 9) whoever this everyone might be.
You are polluting your own thread and you can't see it.
You're projecting.

I suppose that the satanist in the video is wanting to mock Christianity and Christians also.

Another worthless presumption.

Those tenets are absolutely pathetic.
You praise and defend Conservative Christianity so it's no surprise to hear you say that.
And, yes, I do believe you're just a contrarian edge-lord. You'd pretty much have to be in order to call pro-social policies "pathetic."

Exactly, they are cultural associations.
For example Buddhism or Hinduism have demonstrated their purpose is to improve society, so they have been recognized by the State.
You're problem--consistently so--is trying to apply Italian standards to America. It doesn't work. Seriously, Scientology does no good, it is abusive (even towards children), they do harass and stalk people, they stalk and threaten former members, and they have very predatory and manipulative practices. They fought for religious recognition purely and solely for the tax benefits and they got it.

I love your dedication. Lest it be misinterpreted, one doesn't need to view a movie to decide whether or not it is something that one wants to see.
You do have to watch it if you don't want to look like a holier than thou fool who is just fine and dandy speaking on grounds of pure ignorance and would rather do that than be informed and making statements based in facts and not fantasy.
That's not a good thing.

An example?
They are anti-LGBT, they are anti education, anti-intelligence, they are controlling of women, they think working against Global Warming is going against gods plans and actions, they harass people going to sex shops, they often defend beating children, they berate "sinners" and are such nasty people causing so much harm some have called the police regarding a statue of a homeless Jesus in front of their church, and in the OP they are refusing to share the equal rights the Constitution grants us.

I know such people. They believe the Dark Lord
exists, & controls people. Very strange way to
see reality, eh.
Yes and no. People who have little control or a percieved lack of control in their life makes it easier to find boogeymen to blame. It actually makes sense from their perspective, especially when you consider passages like 1 Peter 5:8 (the devil is like a roaring lion waiting to devour) and Ephesians 6:10-18 (donning the armor of god).
What doesn't make sense, at all, is how they believe they have free will but also believe god is in total control and knows the end result of everything.

That's why Scientology is not recognized. But many other religions are, like Buddhism or LDS Church.
