Sanders Endorses Biden

Bernie Sanders endorses Joe Biden after dropping out of the 2020 race

I know, I know, it'll still be Bernie's fault if Joe loses.

Sarcasm aside, I see this as an obviously necessary move for any lefty who wants any hope of moving the country in a more leftward direction in terms of policy and a less overtly embarrassing person as the face of our country.

Thoughts?
I've heard it said that whoever is president after the end of Donald the Dangerous, it's pretty much just going to be 4 years of hopefully undoing some of the reckless damage this current administration has done. So Biden, may actually be the better person for that, than say a major force for change. Rolling back what has been done, will be the job of the next president. Hopelly, we will be able to actually make America great again, when it had respect for itself, respect for the law, and respect for the rights and dignity of others.

Perhaps I lack fear of Trump, having been a previous supporter... That's maybe how I differ.

...With that lack of fear, I allow myself to become bolder.

Interesting. Did you vote Sanders in this year's primary?

And will you vote for other downballot lefties in November?

Well, Biden has been shifting slightly leftward over the past months -- almost certainly in response to the popularity of some of the popular planks in Sanders's platform. Thus, at Bernie's age, this is probably his last chance to have a meaningful impact on Democratic policy for the next while.

But I also think that Bernie is being honest when he says that he believes Trump to be a very grave danger to the US. As it happens, though I'm not American and many here disagree with me, I think so too.

I've now woken up to the need for increased regulation on a global scale. And the required socialism to bring equality and peace into the world.
I'm always amazed at conservatives who firmly believe that people need some rules to live by -- and yet don't think that corporations (which are run by -- wait for it -- people) don't. That's foolishness, so congratulations, Landon for seeing the light! :D

But if we reject Biden, unilaterally, the DNC and the MSM will get the message. If we do nothing different, things will continue as is, without change.
As @Left Coast suggests, nothing stays the same...the direction will move, just not in huge increments. And that's not a bad thing, really. Too much change all at once can be very unpredictable, and impossible to control.

This is true. Thinking about this pandemic, and all the damage being done, it seems like the economy is already going to be impossible to control. I don't know if a conservative will be able to do anything good with it... That style can't really work in a depression.

...We might need something more left leaning than the current administration. It's true.

...Biden is going to need some creative help. This is not going to be easy.

Maybe he'll choose Sanders as his VP. That would be a smart move.

It will be a female, Klobuchar or Harris, IMO. Two old white men on a ticket - please no.
