Take heart in that it's just what the report says, from a Russian news source. They wouldn't publish that soldiers are morally objecting. One very important line in the article: "Insider was unable to independently verify all of these reports."
So of course it's money. That's got to be it, yes. Never mind the testimonies of soldiers that we've seen who are distraught that they were lied to about the nature of their orders, or that they were being ordered to kill civilians, no no it's all about the rubles pupsiiiik

A lot of those who fled Russia to avoid conscription supported the war until they were called to fight in it.

It probably wouldn't have made any difference. They're so poorly trained and equipped that they either get killed or captured shortly after stepping foot on Ukrainian soil.
How is this known?

Swirling rumours. Ukraine Officer claims Putin is suffering from cancer.Would not wish that on anyone.IF it was true and these are old tales which have resurfaced.We have 3 people in contention for Putin's post.The Head of the Wagner group,The Russian Military and finally the Head of the FSB.
My money if there is any truth is that the Head of the FSB will replace Putin.

True, but what would be even better is if they accepted payment in advance, went to Ukraine, then successfully defected.

In Ukraine there are signs poiNTING in the wrong direction to confuse the Russians INVADING.They should have signs for the Russians
