seen report.....it's nothing more than a body cell
failing to respond to the previous genetic command to be a
particular type of cell

the cure is then to stop the protoblast from reproducing
without harming the cells that still form as they should

any other report?

OK. That’s the basics....the “cure” as you mention just happens to also be the tricky part. Prevention is better/much easier.

but the stories I find in researching the problem
indicate....

to much overkill....medical practice

not enough understanding of body chemistry
