Roger Waters slams David Gilmour for being ‘banned’ from Pink Floyd website, says ‘change the name to Spinal Tap’

I've always been a fan of Pink Floyd, but I never kept tabs on much of what they were doing, so I was kind of surprised to read about this. I didn't know they were on the outs after all these years. Kind of sad, in a way.

It is. They are living legends, and their personal squabbles are hurting the fans more than themselves and eachother.

I think I read about this some time ago. It's a pity but not uncommon in the world of rock.

Waters lived a mile from me when I was growing up. Their stuff was what we all listened to around 1970 or so.

The irony is that originally Gilmour was recruited by the pre-existing Pink Floyd (including Waters) after Syd left.

Yeah, but it was Waters' insistence on control that wrecked the band. Since then he often whined about the fact that the band went on without him and was overwhelmingly more popular than he was solo.
