RF Survey -- Thread #2

As part of some potential changes (nothing guaranteed yet, however, as this project is still in the survey stage), would you use a forum feature that allowed you to request in Site Feedback that you be sent a copy of a post that you made in a deleted thread?

To be specific, rule-violating posts wouldn't be available to have as a copy, but if, say, you made a post and then the whole thread got deleted, you would then be able to post in Site Feedback in case you wanted to have a copy of the post instead of potentially typing it again elsewhere.

Please share your thoughts on this potential option.

Wouldn't another option be to delete the offending posts but leave the thread, locked, (even with a title change if necessary), so that posts can still be searched for by interested parties? Or is it too much moderation work to delete individual posts?

The important thing is proper terminology.
A deleted post or thread is a "poofed" post or thread.
