I suppose it depends on what you mean by pleasure. If one thinks of an eternity of only self-serving pleasure, then that is certainly a reductionist mindset in the pleasure I think God intends. If it’s desiring the pleasure of spending eternity with Jesus the Savior, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit in a loving eternal relationship with them, as were designed to be in and enjoying all the beauty and creativity God has planned, then one’s thoughts are aligned with God’s promises."Pleasure seekers want to reduce the meaning of Christ's resurrection to pleasure for themselves and their relatives in something like a heathen afterlife."
Is that you? You want to do that?
I'll continue to disagree on the basis that its a selfish motive. Its flesh that desires things. It reminds me of:I suppose it depends on what you mean by pleasure. Science has nothing to do with this. We see theists behave with the same basic moral beliefs as atheists do. But we do see more religious extremists show less than average morals. Look at Iran and Saudi Arabia for their harsh and strict rules for women.Wow. You made a claim, that requires evidence, But science can't do that, as per here:
Science has limits: A few things that science does not do - Understanding Science
So if not science, what is your evidence? You made a positive claim and thus you have the burden of proof.
I agree with you concerning selfish desires of the flesh. Yet, there are spiritual desires which are appropriate; the desire to love God, please God, and dwell in His Presence forever. Desires of this type are in alignment with God’s will.I'll continue to disagree on the basis that its a selfish motive. Its flesh that desires things. It reminds me of:
"The eye never has enough of seeing, nor the ear its fill of hearing." Eccl. 1:8
"...their god is their stomach..." Philippians 3:19
That is a good question. Probably a lot of so-called Christians who aren’t real believers in Christ at all.Science has nothing to do with this. I'd be impressed if theists all over the world behaved in an obvious morally superior way, but we don't. If Christians didn't kill and steal and cheat, then I would be impressed, but we see many do. Most all people who commit crimes in the West identify as Christian. Very few are atheists. But why so many believers out there committing crimes if they think there is a God watching them?
AI isn't teaching or telling but I find Jesus is because babies will be saved via a future resurrection - Acts of the Apostles 24:15What has my baby sacrificed female life yet saved in heavens via AI mother presence teachings tell me...............................
..............................So with such diversity, the Bible proclaims a unified message organized around one theme: God's redemption of man and all of creation. From my perspective, this verifies the Bible is unique and though written by human authors, the words are inspired by God, the Creator of heaven and earth...................
.....................In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. John 1:1-4
You read an article where babies life returned in human DNA...stopped being born unhealthy after Moses decimation sciences temple pyramid.AI isn't teaching or telling but I find Jesus is because babies will be saved via a future resurrection - Acts of the Apostles 24:15
Not a heavenly resurrection, but a happy-and-healthy physical resurrection on Earth on Resurrection Day.
Resurrection Day meaning: Jesus' coming Millennium-Long Day of governing over Earth in righteousness.
Yes, it is the Word of God, intended to instruct man on the universe's and humanity's beginnings and its Creator, the purpose of life, and how to receive God's approbation - salvation. What do you believe about the Bible?”
Do you understand it to be God’s direct communication to humanity? Do you think that the Bible is totally of Him and from Him? Do you understand that without His divine revelation about Himself and His created beings, finite and fallen humanity is left with only opinions, guesses, and speculations about who God is, Jesus Christ and the gospel which offers salvation, freedom, hope, and eternal life?
Why insulting - because it implies, as far as you are concerned, that you have very little basis for your disbelief in God?Do you actually think that I don't
believe in God because I am a
"pleasure seeker"?
If so that is weird and insulting.

Why weird? It's reasonable actually as God is spirit - those who revel in the material or physical realm are clearly at enmity with the concerns of the spirit. Of course, the expression 'pleasure seeker' requires definition for the word 'pleasure', as some may find reading the Bible as an extremely pleasurable experience for countless reasons.
But, in its common use, 'pleasure seeker' implies hedonism and epicureanism, which are incompatible with man's spirit.
