I have no reason to believe that reincarnation exists. If you assert that it does, the burden of evidence is on you.

Jainism says Soul is permanent. It also says it gets reincarnated depending on good and bad deeds in the previous birth. God has no role whatsoever in the phenomenon of reincarnation according to Jainism.

That's interesting, but I find no reason to believe it to be true. Why do you? What evidence supports it?

Assuming Souls exists , they have to be permanent. If they are created , they are created from What? If they are destroyed , they are destroyed into what? They cannot be created from matter , because unconscious Matter can never be converted into conscious Soul. They cannot be destroyed into Matter , because Conscious Soul cannot be converted into Unconscious Matter.

Hence , a permanent Soul just migrates from one body to another. And that is the definition of Reincarnation. We find variations in some attributes like ego and anger of different Souls because of some retained characteristics of their previous births in this birth.
