Not sure how true this is, but it is a good step

There is a bit of news today regarding recycled material that will be used for the cover of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The Eagle Tribune reports that a company that is to produce the material for the covers is in need of additional products to be recycled in order to keep up with expected demand.

"Haverhill Paperboard has the job of turning people's recyclables into book covers for the seventh and last installment of the popular Harry Potter series expected out this summer.

But mill manager Chris Chappell said people throughout the area aren't recycling enough lower-grade paper, such as newsprint and computer paper, to keep up with the company's demands. Besides book covers, the company makes many other products, including boxes for puzzles and board games.

"We're struggling to get 250 tons of that a day in here to keep us going," Chappell said of the drop in local recycling, which contributes a portion of that daily.

The mill, which is located in Bradford, Massachusetts, says more help is needed from the local residents.

Haverhill Paperboard gets its recycled paper from most Merrimack Valley communities, including Andover and North Andover. All communities have been lagging behind in recycling, the company said.

"We need help," Chappell said of recycling. "The more you put at the curb, the better it is for the city and for us."
...

Stephen Clifford, Haverhill's recycling director, said the tonnage being recycled has dropped recently due to the cold weather | people are more hesitant to carry the green tubs to the curb for pickup.
