I don't think the treatment you have experienced from Christians can automatically be equated with Jesus Christ.

You speak as though you are living under guilt and condemnation you cannot escape out of. Many scriptures come to mind about this.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
    -Hebrews 11:6

So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
    -Romans 8:8

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness
    1 John 1:9

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
    -1 John 1:7

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,
    -Colossians 1:13

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
    -2 Corinthians 5:17

for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.
    -Ephesians 5:8-10

Scripture makes it clear that it is only possible to please God by faith in Christ and and obedience to His Lordship.
Then you can live free of the condemnation of your past and be a new creation in Christ by putting your faith in His sacrifice on behalf of your sin.

I apologize then if that's not what you meant. I thought it sounded like you didn't want anything to do with Christ because of ill treatment you had from Christians. Have a good night.

I just don't see why you brought up slavery when there was no mention of it, and that Jim Crow, being post slavery didn't warrant the mentioning of it. The rest of your nonsensical post on "whataboutism" need no honorable mention.

I brought up Jim Crow because it's in the OP just fyi so yes it was on topic.

Slavery was brought up because that is apart of the white guilt trip.

There was no "whataboutism". If you think it was whataboutism you didn't comprehend the post then.

Correction you brought up slavery in depth when the OP didn't even mention slavery. Although Jim Crow is the result of institutional racism prompted from slavery, she made no mention of it in the beginning, you did.

Not a guilt trip a fact of American history.

You did by mentioning the "what about the first African slave trader" again, whataboutism.

Where on earth did you get that idea ?!

It was whites, not blacks that made slavery legal. I think you have your history confused.

I think acknowledging the past and our own propensity for prejudice is important. I don't necessarily think the American individual should feel guilty per se (unless they are racist), just acknowledge that Americans have a shared history related to racism, xenophobia, and imperialism that has destroyed cultures.

I think there's a lot of open wounds and angry bruises that need to be healed, and I think that discussions about it help in the healing.
