All our cats are pampered Persians which are not bred to go bat to bat with wild animals. Once many many years ago we let one of the cats out when we had taken her on vacation and she got under the deck and got attacked by a wild animal, probably a possum. We had to rush her to the vet but ultimately she did not make it. That was so traumatic I cannot even remember all the details anymore.
