Sorry, but I think that you are asking me to do your homework on your stead.

And it is indeed your homework, not mine. You rely on the claim of fake muslims.

Which goes to show why the Bible isn't always a good reference.

I don't know why exactly you say that, but that is clearly wrong.

This is actually relevant. Some people might assume that Muhammad's marriages are supposed to inherently exemplary in all aspects, or at least presented as such. The reality seems to be different from that. Political alliances and even financial considerations seem to have played a significant role.

Muhammad is preached to have had sex with Aisha whose age, according to Islamic orthodoxy, puts her either in her prepubescent or early years of puberty. If a man can get his penis erect enough to penetrate a child then you might just be sexually attracted to them.[/QUOTE]

this narration is according to books and we shias, dont believe such insult against our prophet!
its completely against the holy Quran and authentic narrations.
we believe that our prophet Mohammad (blessings of Allah upon him and his progeny), are infallible,
in sayings, practices, recieving divine revelation and conveying it to mankind!
Allah best knows where He places His message. (6:124)

Those who can really see are not ignorant
Imam Ali (a.s) describes the angels in a way that indicates how ismah has been internalized in them. Their description shows that they are watchful not to be caught in the trap of Satan. They are neither ignorant nor forgetful:
    لأ يَغْشَاهُمْ نَومَ الْعُيُونِ وَلأ سَهُوُ الْعُقُولِ، وَلأ فَتْرَاةُ الأبْدَانِ وَلأ غَفَلَةٌ النَّسْيَانِ.
The sleep of the eye or the slip of the wit or languor of the body or the effect of forgetfulness does not effect then.
The Prophets and the Imams are like angels in being immune from error in thought, forgetfulness and indecent acts.

    Imam Husayn has said:
    مَا نَدْرِي مَا يَنْقِمُ النَّاسُ مِنَّا! إنَّا لَبَيْتُ الرَّحْمَةِ وَ شَجَرَةُ النُّبُوَّةِ وَ مَعْدِنُ الْعِلْمِ.
We do not know why people harbor enmity against us while we are from the House of mercy, the tree of Prophethood and the source of knowledge.

The tradition of ‘[Prophet’s] proposing to 'Aisha
Among the baseless traditions of Bukhari’s Sahih is its tradition about the Holy Prophet’s proposing to Aisha. According to this tradition, when the Holy Prophet (S) asked for the hand of Aisha in marriage, Abu Bakr (Aisha’s father) said: I am your brother. Here is the full text of this tradition:
Urwa says: The Holy Prophet (S) asked for the hand of Aisha in marriage.
Answering him Abu Bakr said: But I am your brother.
The Holy Prophet (S) said: You are my brother in religion and thus it is permissible for me to marry Aisha.1
In his Fath Al-Bari, Ibn Hajar ‘Asqalani has questioned the authenticity of this tradition. He quotes Hafiz Mughaltai as saying: The authenticity of this tradition is doubtful. This is because the friendship between the Holy Prophet (S) and Abu Bakr happened in Medina whereas proposing to Aisha was made in Mecca. Thus how is it logically possible for Abu Bar to say: “I am your brother”?
Moreover, the Holy Prophet (S) did not personally embark on proposing to Aisha. Ibn Abu ‘Asim narrates from Yahya Bin Abd Al-Rahman Bin Hatib, from Aisha who says: The Holy Prophet sent Khula, daughter of Hakim, to propose to me.
Addressing Khula, Abu Bakr said: Aisha is the Holy Prophet’s nephew. Can she marry him?
Khula came back and related the story to the Holy Prophet (S).
The Holy Prophet (S) told him: Go back and tell Abu Bakr that you are my brother in Islam and your daughter thus can marry me.
Khula went to Abu Bakr and talked to him about the issue. Abu Bakr said: Invite the Messenger of Allah (S)! Thereupon the Holy Prophet (S) came and Abu Bakr married Aisha to him.2

we shia believe about infalibility of prophets, according to the holy Quran and authentic narrations.
see all my comments with care.

Shias sure hold Ali, his wife and his descendants in very high regard.

Having recently read a book about the early days of Islaam just before and after Muhammad's death, I feel considerably better equipped to understand the context and the significance of certain key people of those times.

I have to assume that most readers who are not Muslims will have a hard time understanding the roles of those people.

Maybe you would like to give us a few words about the context of those people and their roles at some point, @zahra67 ?

    yes, sure, my pleasure!
when we want to pray and request somethings from Allah, we pray and request our need by resorting to them:
request God to grand us our need for there sake and reputation.
some of there virtues and blessings in the holy Quran:
verse 207 of chapter 2 is revealed about virtue and devotion of imam ali for saving the life of prophet Mohammad (blessings of Allah upon him and his progeny) for martyrdom by plot of the enemies.

And among men is he who sells himself to seek the pleasure of Allah; and Allah is Affectionate to the servants.
    some verses of chapter 5:
    verse 3:
On this day I have perfected your religion, completed My favors to you, and have chosen Islam as your religion.
this verse refers to ghadir event and imam ali and the imams after him, are complete favor and perfection of religion according to above verse.35:
    يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَابْتَغُوا إِلَيْهِ الْوَسِيلَةَ وَجَاهِدُوا فِي سَبِيلِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
O you who believe! be careful of (your duty to) Allah and seek means of nearness to Him and strive hard in His way that you may be successful.
they are means of nearness to Allah.
    verse 55:
Only Allah is your Vali and His Messenger and those who believe, those who keep up prayers and pay the poor-rate while they bow.
this verse is revealed about imam ali (blessingsof Allah upon him, when he gave his ring to a needy.
    verse 56:
And whoever takes Allah and His messenger and those who believe for a guardian, then surely the party of Allah are they that shall be triumphant.
    verse 67:
    يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ وَإِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ وَاللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ
    O Messenger! deliver what bas been revealed to you from your Lord; and if you do it not, then you have not delivered His message, and Allah will protect you from the people;
verse 33 of chapter 33 the infinite merciful God mentions there infallibility.
Allah only desires to keep away the uncleanness from you, O people of the House! and to purify you a (thorough) purifying.
verses 5 until 22 of chapter 76 refers to there devotion:
    يُوفُونَ بِالنَّذْرِ وَيَخَافُونَ يَوْمًا كَانَ شَرُّهُ مُسْتَطِيرًا
They fulfill vows and fear a day the evil of which shall be spreading far and wide.
And they give food out of love for Him to the poor and the orphan and the captive:
    إِنَّمَا نُطْعِمُكُمْ لِوَجْهِ اللَّهِ لَا نُرِيدُ مِنْكُمْ جَزَاءً وَلَا شُكُورًاً
We only feed you for Allah's sake; we desire from you neither reward nor thanks:
    until verse 22:
chapter 108 which is revealed in the time of borning and blessings of hazrat fatimah (blessings of Allah upon her).
in the name of Allah the all-merciful, the most merciful.
Surely We have given you Kausar,
Therefore pray to your Lord and make a sacrifice.
Surely your enemy is the one who shall be without posterity.

    verse 23 of chapter 42:
Allah says the reward for mission of prophet Mohammad is love for his progeny.
That is of which Allah gives the good news to His servants, (to) those who believe and do good deeds. Say: I do not ask of you any reward for it but love for my near relatives; and whoever earns good, We give him more of good therein; surely Allah is Forgiving, Grateful.
Allah recommends His servants to resort to His covenant, which necessitates getting to know Hablullah:
    وَاَعْتَصِمُواْ بِحَبْلِ اَللَّهِ جَمِيعاً وَلَا تَفَرَّقُواْ
And hold fast by the covenant of Allah all together and be not disunited. (3:13)
Imam al-Baqir (a.s) has said about the meaning of this covenant with Allah:
    آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ، صَلْوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ، هُمْ حَبْلُ اللَّهِ الْمَتِينُ الَّذِي أمَرَ بِللإعْتِصَامِ بِهِ.
The Household of Muhammad is the covenant of Allah as recommended by Allah.
we all muslims have a very authentic narration from our prophet:
    hadith al-thaqalayn:
Sulayman al-A’mash, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Abu al-Tufayl, from Zayd ibn Arqam, may God be pleased with him, who said: "The Messenger of Allah , may God's peace and benedictions be upon him and his progeny, while returning from his last hajj (hijjat al-wada') came down at Ghadir Khumm and ordered (us) towards the big trees, and (the ground) underneath them was swept.
"Then he said, 'I am about to answer the call (of death). Verily, I have left behind two precious things amongst you, one of which is greater than the other. The Book of Allah, the Exalted, and my ‘itrah (kindred). So watch out how you treat these two after me, for verily they will not separate from each other until they come back to me by the side of the Pond.' Then he said 'Verily, Allah, the Almighty and the Glorious, is my master (mawla) and I am the master of every believer (mu'min).' Then he took ‘Ali, may God be pleased with him, by the hand and said, 'This (‘Ali) is the master of whomever I am his master. O God, love whoever loves him and be the enemy of his enemy.'"

also this is one another butiful narration from our prophet (blessings of Allah upon him and his progeny)
Behold! My Ahl al-Bayt are security and mercy for you. Therefore, love them for my sake and resort to them so that you will never go astray… These are Ali, my two grandsons and nine borne of Husayn who are trustworthy and infallible Imams. Behold! They are the Ahl al-Bayt and my honour - from my flesh and my blood.
they are source of mercy and ark of salvation for mankind.
imam husayn peace be upon him says:
We do not know why people harbor enmity against us while we are from the House of mercy, the tree of Prophethood and the source of knowledge.
the best book for introducing there virtues is my beloved book which i sent its link in many of my posts:
i read its content in only two days entirely! and cried out of joy many times!
Ahl al-Bayt, The Celestial Beings on the Earth
hope that you enjoy it, God bless you!

    Aisha
Main articles: Aisha and Islam and children § Marriage
    See also: Baligh and Wali
From the 20th century onwards, a common point of contention has been Muhammad's marriage to Aisha, who was said to have been six or seven when betrothed to Muhammad in traditional Islamic sources,[82] and nine, or according to Ibn Hisham, ten, when the marriage was consummated upon her reaching puberty.[82][83][84][85][86][87][88] American historian Denise Spellberg states that "these specific references to the bride's age reinforce Aisha's pre-menarcheal status and, implicitly, her virginity."[82] Muslim authors who calculate Aisha's age based on the more detailed information available about her sister Asma estimate that she was over thirteen and perhaps between seventeen and nineteen at the time of her marriage.[89]

Colin Turner, a UK professor of Islamic studies,[90] states that marriages between an older man and a young girl, consummated once the wife reached what was considered at the time to be adult age, were customary among the Bedouins, and hence Muhammad's marriage would not have been considered improper by his contemporaries.[91] Karen Armstrong, the British author on comparative religion, has affirmed that "There was no impropriety in Muhammad's marriage to Aisha. Marriages conducted in absentia to seal an alliance were often contracted at this time between adults and minors who were even younger than Aisha. This practice continued in Europe well into the early modern period."[92]

Prophets are very much fallible. Sinless yes, but as humans they made mistakes, ALL of them. Using words like infallible, divine and angelic is considered going too far and akin to shirk, as is the opinion of the mainstream Muslims, who make up over 80% of the Ummah.

    Ahl Al Bayt And Infallibility
Infallibility (ismah) is a special intuitive state keeping man from committing sin and closing all doors to temptations. From this view, we can consider infallibility as something cognitive, which requires cognizance and something existential, for it is a virtue that man can obtain in his evolutionary strive with Allah’s favor.
Cognitive and pragmatic infallibility are virtues merely related to cognition and perception while some others are only pragmatic. For example, justice is a pragmatic virtue in man, which has nothing to do with man’s intuitive dimension. This valuable virtue keeps man from intentional or unintentional fault but ismah saves from ignorance, fault, negligence, oblivion, sophistry, and sinning. Therefore, an infallible (masum) is immune from any error in perception in the realm of cognizance, immune from wrongdoing in pragmatism, and immune from mistake in propagating religion.
The intuitive truth belongs to theoretical intellect; and abstaining from committing sins is related to pragmatically intellect though the origin of ismah of pragmatic intellect is the same as cognizance and intuitive intellect.
    Ahl al-Bayt’s Infallibility
Based on the Holy Quran and narrations, the Ahl al-Bayt are infallible at the level of theoretical and pragmatic intellect; that is to say, they perceive everything correctly, execute it correctly, and convey their knowledge and insight to people correctly. So, there is no fault, ignorance or error in their understanding; nor is there error, rebellion or oblivion in the realm of pragmatic intellect.
About the Ahl al-Bayt’s infallibility, the Holy Quran says:
    إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا
Allah only desires to keep away the uncleanness from you, O people of the House, and to purify you a thorough purifying. (33:33)
Allah’swill is aimed at purifying the knowledge and deeds of Ahl al-Bayt. Hence, He has made them masum in their knowledge and deeds.
If we are emphatically advised not to interpret the Holy Quran without the help of Ahl al-Bayt, it is because no human beings but Ahl al-Bayt are immune from misunderstanding and misinterpreting the Divine Book.

    Why Are Ahl al-Bayt Infallible?
Reporting Ibn Umayr, Muhammad ibn Babawayh in his valuable book, Dhakhirat al-Ibad, narrates the following: During my association with Husham ibn al-Hakam, I did not find but four best words only when I asked him, “Is the Imam infallible?” He answered, “Yes, he is.” I asked, “For what reason?” He said,
All sins are rooted in greed, jealousy, wrath and lust. How can the Imam be greedy of the world when the whole world is under his command? How can the Imam be jealous while all creatures are below him? How can the Imam be wrathful when his wrath is for the sake of Allah? How can the Imam be lustful when he sees beautiful faces and blessings in heaven through contemplation and intuition?
    Infallibility, the zenith of Piety
Ismah is virtually the light of theoretical and pragmatic intellect. An infallible man has the power to prevent the influence of illusion on theoretical intellect and to prevent the influence of lust and wrath on pragmatic intellect so that he will not be polluted with sin and he will strive voluntarily towards virtues and perfection. Pragmatic infallibility is the highest degree of piety which will become manifest in behaviors and deeds.
All the infallible Imams fully receive from Almighty Allah what is related to the guidance of man, comprehend it perfectly, fulfill it properly and convey it to others. This is only possible through intuition, for a man, in the world of illusion, presents his imaginations on the findings of intellect hence misleads others:
    أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ بَدَّلُوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ كُفْرًا وَأَحَلُّوا قَوْمَهُمْ دَارَ الْبَوَارِ
Have you not seen those who have changed Allah's favor for ungratefulness and made their people to alight into the abode of perdition? (14:28)
The Infallibles Are Not Tempted by Satan
Should man live in the sanctuary of pure reason, he will be immune from inward and outward Satans:
    لَأَقْعُدَنَّ لَهُمْ صِرَاطَكَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
I will certainly lie in wait for them in thy straight path. (7:16)
Iblis (Satan) who threatens to mislead all human beings with all his power cannot find his way in a person who himself is a straight path, for Sirat which represents the infinite power of Allah is immune from all temptations. For the followers of the spiritual path, the straight path and the wayfarer are the same. Meanwhile, Satan lies in wait in the beginning of the path and not in the middle or in the final stages. Therefore, those who have traversed the major sections of the path by performing their religions obligations and have reached the stage of devotion are immune from temptations:
I will certainly cause them all to deviate, except the servants from among them, the devoted ones. (15:39-40)
    The Infallibles’ Knowledge and Act
One who has reached the station of cognitive and intuitive devotion do not misunderstand anything nor does he commit any error or have doubt in relation to perceptions, for the receiver of message is an abstract soul and the sender of message is Allah Who is pure knowledge. About the cognitive ismah, Imam Ali (a.s.) says:
    مَا شَكَكْتُ فِي الْحَقِّ مُدأريتُهُ.
I have never had any doubt since the time I was presented with the truth.
This indicates that Imam Ali had reached the final stage of reunion with Almighty Allah. He had comprehension of the far-fetched truths, which is not available but for a masum through knowledge and intuition. Therefore, Imam Ali is the paragon of ‘There is no doubt in it’.
As for pragmatic ismah, we should say that those who have attained devotion reach this stage. This is when lust, wrath, jealousy, arrogance and hypocrisy have no way into his sanctuary.
An infallible person has gone through the stages of polarization, lust, wrath, love, enmity, like and dislike. He has reached the station of amity and detachment, which is the most perfect and the most valuable stage. One who has reached this latest stage considers Satan as the most hostile enemy of his inward and outward being. Hence, he suppresses Satan in the hardest way and comes under the guardianship of Allah:
    إِنَّ وَلِيِّيَ اللَّهُ الَّذِي نَزَّلَ الْكِتَابَ ۖ وَهُوَ يَتَوَلَّى الصَّالِحِينَ
Surely, my guardian is Allah Who revealed the book and He befriends the good. (7:196)
It is the same righteous ones who will inherit the earth due to their ismah in perceptions and deeds:
    أَنَّ الْأَرْضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِيَ الصَّالِحُونَ
My righteous servants shall inherit it. (21:105)

God almighty says in one part of chapter 5 verse 32:
who ever killed a soul, except for a soul slain, or for sedition in the earth, it should be considered as though he had killed all mankind; and that who ever saved it should be regarded as though he had saved all mankind.
our prophet Mohammad (blessings of Allah upon him and his progeny)
are the source of mercy and security for mankind.
our first imam (vicegerent of prophet)
    is imam ali who says:

    By God,
were I given all the seven heavens
    with all they contain
    in order that
    I may disobey God
    by depriving an ant
from the husk of a grain of barley,
    I would not do it.
    (Sermon 224)
    God bless you all.
