What would the Messiah be doing if he were alive today?
What would people like the Messiah to do if he were alive today?
What should a person who suspects he’s the Messiah do?
How would you tell if someone is the Messiah?
Is there anything similar to The Messiah that’s not The Messiah?

That's a very good question - perhaps because when I thinking of The Messiah I thought a) Jesus of Nazareth b) in his capacity as the central figure of Christianity, even though I know he was a practicing Jew, indeed a Jewish teacher.

I am very interested in Jewish perspectives too, as much as in Christian ones.

I understand that the concept of The Messiah comes from Judaism

I'm not 100% familiar with these forums so I think I'll post this in the Theological Concepts forum too? I think that sounds about right.

I hope the mods won't consider this spamming?

eating, digesting, gift for story telling, jokester, sundry other things that rather mundane.

reassure them that it's ok to be them and not otherwise.

question it. oops, sorry that is already happening.

they'd recognize it in other as self.
