The name Haile Selassie is the Baptismol name given to Tafari Makonnen when he was 5 weeks 5 days old according to the tradition of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church.
The Name Haile Selassie means (power of the holy trinity), the Almighty, this referes to Christ reigning in him and his name in Christ.
