Who was in a huff? Not me. I was just pointing out probabilities that would fit.
Maybe to them, but they’re also ignoring tons of evidence.

Which is why it’s to his credit, that he’s trying to understand these occurrences in light of science.

And? Many accepted well-known Ph.D. scientists have provided their expertise to give a movie credibility.
Have you seen his? Here is part:
“Dr. Barry Taff, who holds a doctorate in psychophysiology with a minor in biomedical engineering, is a world-renowned parapsychologist who worked out of UCLA's former parapsychology laboratory from 1969 through 1978 as a research associate....

He has consulted for government, business, and law enforcement, including the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), National Security Agency (NSA), Defense Language Institute (DLI), Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the FBI, Interpol, LAPD, California Highway Patrol, Santa Barbara Sheriff's Department, and the Westminster Police Department. He has served as a technical advisor or script doctor on the films Logan's Run, Demon Seed, Altered States, Poltergeist, and The Entity.“

Regarding “The Entity,” google ‘Doris Bithers.’

Sure, but I'm not the one making definitive assertions about "the paranormal".

    I don't pretend to know.

There are lots of examples of people who believed they did have experiences which couldn't be explained by conventional means but were subsequently explained by conventional means and plenty more which could possible be explained by conventional means but will never have enough clear evidence to say either way. There are certainly proven and suspected examples of fraud, lies or misinformation too. And there are certainly some things which (currently) have no viable explanation. "I don't know" remains a perfectly valid answer though.

The simple fact is that there is no good reason to lump all of these different claims together anyway. The whole concept of "the paranormal" is flawed IMO. Any given phenomena, incident or event should be considered independently and any specific hypothesis explaining it considered on it's own merits. Anything shown to be true is "normal" by definition, even if it is something we previously didn't think was possible.

Why do you ask this, Frank?

Who is behind many of the paranormal events that occur among occult users right now? Jehovah God, or His enemy, Satan? (Deuteronomy 18:10-12 informs us that Jehovah hates that stuff.)
If it is the Devil, do you think people should know? That it can harm them? (In light of Revelation 12:9, what do you think the importance of Revelation 12:12 is?) Why do you think @Deeje, myself, and other JW’s warn you to avoid the occult? You ask our opinion all the time!

it goes further than that, tho (@Mestemia , take note)....
If only one paranormal incident can be revealed as obviously having an unseen intelligence directing it, which I’m sure many RF members believe of many events — then materialistic belief (and atheism) would be altered forever. People might begin thinking differently.
That’s why so many are against such a discovery. No one wants their worldview shattered.
(Better for that to happen before this system goes down, than during!)

The Devil, tho, does not want to “show his hand.” Not to everyone. All he really wants, is to keep people from searching for Jehovah (part of which John 17:3 says ‘leads to eternal life’). If an enemy can get you to think that he doesn’t even exist, he can continue on, unchecked.

But one Divine paranormal event is coming; a good one! When it’s Jehovah’s time to fulfill Daniel 2:44.... that event will be indisputable!

    Take care.

Interesting that to date not a single one has been shown as even implying (outside the bold empty claim of believers) an unseen intelligence...

Yet that was not your argument as presented.
Your presented argument was that because there are so many claims, that at least one of them has to be true.
which is nothing more than a bold empty claim attempting to support a bold empty claim.

    Don't get me wrong.
I agree that if it is ever shown that an unseen intelligence is behind it, that would change the whole field.
NOt that I am holding my breath.
