2 Timothy 1:10 from the TLB reads....
" And now he has made all of this plain to us by the coming of our Savior Jesus Christ, who broke the power of death and showed us the way of everlasting life through trusting him."

Please get rid of translations that favor the KJV...it is a hopeless translation.

How are you trying to relate a parable to this verse?

"The rich man and Lazarus" is not a true story, but an illustration comparing the Pharisees to the 'lost sheep of the house of Israel' to whom Jesus was sent. The Pharisees picture the arrogant rich man and the pathetic beggar pictures those spiritually impoverished Jews who were scrambling for any crumbs that fell from the rich man's table. (spiritually speaking)

Their "deaths" caused a reversal, or a new start for both parties.....they actually changed places with the Pharisees now losing their favor with God, and the ones who responded to Jesus' teachings and became his disciples, now occupied the favored position with God.....which angered the rich man no end...resulting in his weeping and gnashing of teeth at the mere mention of such a reversal. It was their anger that motivated them to murder Jesus.

I think the real question i am asking is whenever Jesus used a parable to talk to people.Did it always match 2 Timothy 1:10?

    2 Timothy 1:10 NWT
"but now it has been made clearly evident through the manifestation of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has abolished death and has shed light on life and incorruption through the good news".

What have parables got to do with this scripture? Can you be more specific? The word in Greek means incorruption, not immortality.

If you have a accurate Bible translation, it shouldn't matter what Bible you use.

What is the point you are trying to make here?
