Strange that god would give angels free will before he created man. Where did John get his sources to fabricate such a myth!

I finally figured out what direction I should go, when I studied the revelations of the Baha'i faith
I'm under the impression the devil is the leader of the rebellion, and not some follower. This can be seen by Revelation which talks about the dragon (the devil), and a third of the stars being cast to Earth. Revelation 12:4 - Those stars are seen as fallen angels. And the way it is written, the devil does seem to be the leader of the rebellion.

Do you actually believe that? What are the sources? Who interviewed god or other angels?

    Scripture
" There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit, For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made
me free from the law of sin and death, For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh, but after
    the spirit."

"As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so was the Son of man lifted up."

"For the good that I would, I do not, but the evil that I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man ; But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members."

" O wretched man that I am ! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? "

" So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God ; but with the flesh the law of sin"

    "God sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and by a sacrifice for sin condemned sin in the flesh " (that is, destroyed sin in the flesh);

"For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same, that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil."

"The wages of sin is death"

    Scripture
Sin has the power of death, and the writer says that the devil has the power of death. That is because sin in the flesh and the devil are one and the same. And when Christ's flesh was destroyed, so was the sinful flesh destroyed. So, he that has the power of death (sin in the flesh) or the devil was destroyed by the sacrifice of Christ.

"For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same, that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil."

If you understand the nature of a myth, chaos or rebellion in heaven are the most common ingredients of which transforms into a creation myth. Here is what St.Dionyius stated about revelations.
"Even if I do not understand, I yet conceive some deeper sense to lie in the words. Not measuring and judging these things by private reasoning but giving the chief right of faith. I have supposed it to be too high to be comprehended by me" .

    Scripture
"Him that has the power of death, that is, the devil"

But wasn't it Adam's sin that brought death into the world and so death passed to all because in him all sinned? Certainly!

Everyone dies because of Adam's sin. And the reason being that we all possess the same sinful flesh as he..

And God sent His son in the likeness of the sinful flesh so that He could condemn that sin in the flesh with the sacrifice of His son.

Now there is no condemnation for Adam's sin for those who are in Christ Jesus.

"Him that has the power of death, that is, the devil" WOW! God floods the earth murdering everyone including the endangered whales. In the Vulgate, before politically correct translators modified it, Moses returns to earth with horns on his head . Michelangelo`s famous sculpture clearly depicts that. Was Moses the devil?

Why would God command Adam not to eat of the tree knowing he would ?

In Scripture, a horn represents a leader or king.

Well, if that is so can you point out your sources? There many other gods with horns and I can assure you they are not kings Bacchus was named the horned child and most famous Zagreos son of Zesus and Persephone. They were all monsters!
