All they had was a statue of Carter. I might have expected a reference to his encounter with a killer rabbit.
Of course, Nixon was always the funniest to lampoon.
Carter is currently the eldest of the elder statesmen, and he will be 96 (tomorrow, if I'm not mistaken). I liked Carter. I could never understand why so many people hated him. Granted, he was weak and in over his head with the Iranian crisis, but he wasn't a bad person, at least not worthy of such unmitigated hatred.
