Prayer is the most spiritual thing we can do. Regular communication with someone is what draws brings them closer. And when you share your thoughts with someone, its actually very therapeutic and makes you feel better to get your troubles off your chest.

So it is with Prayer. When we pray to God, we can draw closer to him and we get a certain degree of relief from stress too.
It also shows God that we appreciate and trust him to help us.
Jesus said: “Ask and you will receive.” (John 16:24) When we do, we demonstrate our reliance on God.

Ok.. the 'ask and you receive' portion is a bit odd though.
