Practical relation to the story of Hubbard´s Xenu

In documentaries I have watched on the internet they say that scientologists dont talk about, and dont praise the metaphysical entities that Hubbard wrote about. Im talking about the religious history of the cosmic drama that includes the story of Xenu. Can anyone answer my why thats so? I mean; a christianity without talking about Jesus dying on the cross would have big problems explaining why they believe in the doctrines, dont you agree?
