I had read that porn can be psychologically damaging in that it becomes a surrogate for unrealistic expectations of your partner. If you have or ever get a partner that isn't a phantom of wishful thinking that is.
Do you suppose this could be true?

I think it could be true, but it's not just an issue with porn; media romanticizes unrealistic expectations. It's important that any media be consumed responsibly.

And how does one masturbate "responsibly" I wonder? Is there a guideline I can look up somewhere to go by?
What if masturbating responsibly is like smoking responsibly...its just not quite possible since your still responsible for your own well being?

Then start another thread to keep this on topic.
But I am not wrong.
Of course your not wrong.;) And I'm not wrong, and he's not wrong and she's not wrong and their not wrong. Nobodies wrong! YAY:)
The statements themselves automatically make it true. Regardless of some semblance of rational presentation of proof. I love this world!
I hope its not too prudent of me but I just wanna give you a virtual hug.:) or how about a fist bump at least:handfist:

You asked a question and used that to launch into a rant about how you got out views amd beliefs as Satanists very wrong and kept harping on about "why don't we just call ourselves something else?"
Hugs are friendly gestures. Friendliness is not "My beliefs say this so you should change your labels."

Good grief girl. Its quite clear to me that you feel your being attacked about your beliefs. And I can see where your justified in feeling this way.
Setting aside what you believe and follow as your life philosophy which I am not arguing against here, my main point was in how labels are used.

If you believe in living and letting others live the way they wish...I'm not arguing against that. Though that concept in itself needs qualified since as it stands it would not be possible.

I'm only arguing two things....right or wrong as I am.

1) Labels should reflect the common understanding of what the label reflects. Whether that be a product: a label on a can of corn ; a process: natural versus artificial processes; or a belief system : Satanism v. Christianity / Judaism.
If they don't then we rapidly deteriorate into chaos and confusion with our communication. For instance I wanted corn so I grabbed the can labeled corn but found it actually contained beans. Oops there goes my recipe.
2) If you use a Label in a way that is not the common understanding of what that label (by common understanding I mean, majority common accepted usage) means and know this then you should at least put a disclaimer on your label. If you don't then you either hope for or should expect confusion and or confrontation. To complain about that would be ridiculous and naive.

Now if your purpose is to campaign for the Christian being called "Satan" and getting it reinstated into the exulted, benevolent position it actually should have by calling yourself a Satanist then by not engaging those who question the label is not the way to do it.

Of course I understand, people get tired of defending their position all the time and sometimes just want to grocery shop when their in the store. But then again you must realize what you label yourself on here goes with you into every thread and post.
I came into this thread curious about the OP's reasons for this topic etc. But your provocative label caught my eye and as can often happen in life, what one intended to do can get derailed into doing something else.

Hugs are friendly gestures. Friendliness is not "My beliefs say this so you should change your labels."
Lol....I get you but I think it would be more accurate to say that I believed what I thought Satanism meant so I asked you and found out that you had different beliefs. I wanted to know if you could show me that I was wrong in my beliefs. I found your explanations lacking. So I was confused about your actual motives in calling yourself a Satanist. That is all.

You realize this thread is about masturbation, don't you? This thread isn't the place for that. I'm willing to discuss it, but elsewhere.
I will say though, my "provocative title," my actual title here is a silly not-real marriage, my religion "god is in the rain" comes from the movie V is for Vendetta, and my signature, which does mention Satan, comes from a very tongue in cheek song. The only ones who ever say anything about it are Christians. No one else cares.

Yeah I gathered that from the title...I also told you that I got side tracked as is normal for people to do at times.

Lol...well that ought to tell you something.
:hugehug::handfist::wink::wink:
Okay...sticking with the theme of this thread then....you have any tips on proper masturbatory techniques?

A better comparison would be exercise, since a person can exercise regularly and benefit mentally, emotionally, and physically from it, though it can become an obsession with negative consequences. Both are also natural body responses our biology seems built to accommodate, whereas smoking isn't, and is always detrimental.

What is the “normal” frequency of masturbation?

Do you Masturbate? Do you consider it "normal" or healthy to do so.

What's your frequency?

Is due to a lack of physical intercourse, or because it complements the intercourse you are having?

Great question! Iv'e been masturbating since I was 7 years old. Believe it or not I lost my innocence at 9 years old, from a sex porn game I accidently came across. I consider it perfectly normal, I hold no shame in it. I normally masturbate daily, probably about 3 to 4 times everyday. I do it because Iv'e never had the physical relationship/intercourse before. I've been highly sexualized than most of my peers.
