"we need not think alike to love alike" - Francis Dávid

    However:

Do you think your religious beliefs are correct and that other religious beliefs are wrong?

Or do you see all such beliefs as being equally valid?

I do but it doesn't offend me if someone thinks the same about my beliefs, that's a part of life, different people will hold different opinions

But I do feel considerable social pressure to keep this from others, to not say this in public

But yes, I freely admit that I believe I am right and that those with different opinions are wrong

But that doesn't mean I think any less of those who hold different beliefs to me

And it doesn't mean that I don't tolerate and respect those who hold different beliefs

And yes, people can hold correct beliefs alongside incorrect beliefs so people can be part right whilst also being part wrong

To be honest it would be surprising and somewhat disturbing if you didn't think you were right.

    Yes, you are quite right

But I sense a social pressure to not openly say this

It depends on the context. But I voted no because I believe God can be prayed to under any name and face, so long as the faith is unbreakable.

    Isn't it implied?
If (say) you turn up at a Catholic every Sunday, confess and take communion, is there any doubt about what you think is the correct religion?

I just feel as though there is a creeping taboo against explicitly stating that you firmly believe is right and that other beliefs are therefore wrong

Someone calling me wrong would never offend me but I'd be wary of saying "I think you're wrong", I think it is more socially acceptable to say "I believe differently to you" or something like that

    It's all relative.

Right according to whom, and as determined by what criteria? And by what course of reasoning is that criteria being used?

Being "right" is pointless. What matters is how we got there and what we missed along the way.

I think some people are right and others wrong

According to the facts of reality

    are others wrong?

Hey, I'm female, obviously others are wrong.

Joking aside, I'm atheist and consider most religion to be wrong, at least in one of their core beliefs

I think that my picture of the world is in accord with the data I have.
I think other people have a disconnected picture of the world, either because they have different data or because they have come to different conclusions.
I believe it is possible to harmonize our pictures if we both are honest and willing.

I vote no. The closest to being right is that what ever I am doing works for me. This doesn't make me ultimately right. Right and wrong can be very subjective without a specific context.... like flat earth vs. globe or jumping off a 100 foot bridge is bad/good for you.

This seems to me to pose a false binary choice. It is perfectly possible to think that several religions have elements of truth to them, without any of them being free from error.

To go further, it is possible to think that religion is not really about being "right" or "wrong" at all, but about whether it has helpful ideas and principles to guide how you live your life. Such ideas and principles may then be found in more than one religion.

Its hard to categorize absolute correctness of Mystery. We must always be open to new possibilities.

Reality is beyond our mind's comprehension. Beliefs, religions, can be helpful but to me it comes down to action. If a religion does not inspire someone to become a better person, it has no value in real life. If it inspires some, then it's valid for those people.

The question was 'Are' you right, not whether you believe you are - hence No, given there wasn't an Other - as in, I Don't Know.

I disagree, everyone is both right and wrong in their own ways, and that's a good thing.

i believe respect is earned. I am not going to respect someone who believes the moon is made of green cheese. As for those who scorn someone with a different belief there is a Bible story in which Jesus was laughed to scorn because he said the girl was not dead. I get people who laugh at what I say also but at least I have a basis for my beliefs and many do not.

I believe it is worse when a person will not admit when they are wrong. I make mistakes once in a while and readily admit it when I do.

I believe praying to stone and marble only puts one between a rock and a hard place.
