People eat manna in Wilderness of Sin what did the cattle eat?

When the Israelites were in the wilderness of Sin for 40 years eating manna what did the great herds of cattle eat? If there wasn't anything out there to live on for humands that doesn't leave much for animals. The cattle must have outnumered the 2,000,000 people by at least 2 or 3 to one or maybe more. Anyone have any suggestions?:help:

Done here.
I don't take the story too literally, but if I did, I'd probably suppose that in those days there was sufficient grass in Sinai for the livestock to live on. Grass wouldn't have done the humans any good, hence the need for manna.
