Other - Way too early to consider. And yet, screw Pence, he can rot.

Pence stood his ground and kept the certification process going. Had he not done that, this country would have spun out into a constitutional crisis. He totally could have chosen the other road, but instead acted out of integrity. He gets major props for that in my opinion.

I vote we need ranked choice voting. Otherwise any "other" choice benefits the opposition.

Yes Pence gets props for that. And Cheney gets props for her work on the Jan 6th committee.

But policies that either of these people support are horrible. And that should be what matters.

I would rather not see Biden run again, but I would choose him over Pence.

pence's chance of getting the republican nomination for 2024: like a four-engined aircraft trying to make it back to the airfield on one engine.

That's his job. It doesn't absolve him of being a terrible person, or clean the blood and suffering of LGBT youth in his state and his "conversion therapies" from his hands.

True, but he screws up so badly everywhere else that I can't consider him for office.

Heroes often rise to the challenge but fail at every day life. He should be recognized as one of the heroes of 1/6. That doesn't qualify him for office.

Those "Heartland Hoosier" values he represents is a big reason I left that state.

    From that article:

Republicans were hit with a similar accusation in July 2016, when their national platform included the phrase "We support the right of parents to determine the proper medical treatment and therapy for their minor children."

Isn’t that just fascinating. Especially when considering the GOP’s current opposition to Trans rights.

I am totally uninformed about politics in your country and I could easily make such a faux pas myself. I am not quite at the "screw him" level, but I know that he would be a terrible choice.
