How unobservant am I?

I've seen The Matrix: Revolutions more times than I care to admit, and I just realized today that the Pavamana Mantra from the Brhadaranyaka Upanishad is in the soundtrack.

असतो मा सद्गमय ।
तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय ।
मृत्योर्माऽमृतं गमय ॥

asato mā sadgamaya,
tamaso mā jyotirgamaya,
mṛtyormā'mṛtaṃ gamaya.

Lead me from the unreal to the real,
Lead me from darkness unto light,
Lead me from death to immortality.

I chant this practically every day of my life prior to meditation and I never even noticed it was in my favorite movie trilogy.

I've known that since the movies came out. I listened to the soundtracks a lot as I was into Juno Reactor at the time, and they were just good scores. I listened to Navras a week or so ago. Certainly makes sitting through 10+ minute long credits more interesting.

Now that I know it's called Navaras*, I was able to find the original version on YouTube. Here it is without the dialogue.

*I guess I could have bothered to read the title in the other video as well. :p
