    There are a lot of interesting subjects and discussions in this week's portion.

    One of the most odd are how it starts with Hashem placing on us both a blessing and a curse. A blessing if we are fulfilling the commandments, and a curse if we abandon them.

    What are your thoughts on this? Is this blessing/curse related to specific mitzvot (perhaps the ones that are part of parashat Re'Eh), or all the mitzvot throughout the Torah?

    Furthermore, without these couple of verses, do you think Judaism as a whole would be very different because there wouldn't be a clear consequence to sinning?

    What is the clear consequence to sinning ? Are we talking about the false prophet? Idolatrous city ? I doubt thats the case. You know the saying “bad things happen to good people”? What do you think is the corollary?
