Coming of Muhammad(saaw) fore-told in previous scriptures & that followers of fourth "Book" will be the deep-rooted & like a strong tree.

[Quran:48:29]“Muhammad is the apostle of God; and those who are with him are strong against Unbelievers, (but) compassionate amongst each other. Thou wilt see them bow and prostrate themselves (in prayer), seeking Grace from God and (His) Good Pleasure. On their faces are their marks, (being) the traces of their prostration. This is their similitude in the Taurat; and their similitude in the Gospel is: like a seed which sends forth its blade, then makes it strong; it then becomes thick, and it stands on its own stem, (filling) the sowers with wonder and delight. As a result, it fills the Unbelievers with rage at them. God has promised those among them who believe and do righteous deeds forgiveness, and a great Reward.”

MT 13:31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds(Qur’an is smallest of ALL 4 books): but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

In following verses of bible, Four places where seeds fell refer to 4 major Books given to Four Prophets, Zu-bur, Torat, Injeel & Qur’aan.
Good ground is where seed of Islam was sown i.e, Arabia which holds the roots of Muhammad’s followers.

1>Zu-buur:- Seeds fell on side way & eaten-up by birds i.e, NO traces r left of this scripture.
2>Torah thru Mosa:- Seed fell in stony place, Quran describes hearts of children-of-Israel as stone hard. Some believed in Mosa for some time but then fell into wrong path again-&-again.
3>Injeel thru Eesa:- Seeds fell b/w thorns. Plants(True believers of Eesa) grew well for some time BUT then Thorns of Roman Pagan traditions pierced into their belief(Also read MK:4:19). & such ppl whose faith was contaminated sprung-up & chocked the true believers.
4>Quran thru Muhammad:- Seeds fell on good ground & plant is growing well & strong.(also MK:4:32)

MT 13:3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:5Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them (MK:4:19:And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word(distort true teachings of Jesus), and it becometh unfruitful):8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

MT 13:18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word(children-of-Isreal received the message from God), and anon with joy receiveth it;21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while(stayed on right track ONLY for a while): for when tribulation or persecution(from Pharaoh etc) ariseth because of the word(Because of following God’s message), by and by he(Prophet Mosa) is offended(children-of-Israel went astray again-&-again).22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word(Eesa received revealation); and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word(contaminated the true teachings), and he becometh unfruitful.23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it(Muhammad received revelation); which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.(Also in MK:4:2-8 & 15-20)

Or what the heck, it could mean just what it purports to mean: How to spread the Gospels, and the results of doing so.

I gave explaination within brackets. I try again:-

    Sower is God

He sent message(Seeds = Holy Books) thru messengers(who received the word) to people.

Some seeds fell on side-ways(Zubuur) & fowls ate them i.e. No evidence of Zubur & it's followers is left.

Some seeds(Torah) fell on hard-ground(Children-of-Israel=Jews) & their faith in True teachings of God was NOT deeply rooted so they deviated very easily. & rebeled again-&-again.

Some seeds(Injeel=Gospel) fell in land where there were thorns(oppression that early christians faced). & these thorns & worldy desires & deception of rich people deviated followers of gospels from true teachings of Jesus. (the word that Jesus heared = Injeel)

then some seeds(Quran) fell on good ground. & it's followers have deep roots & are like a stout tree.

So you're saying the seeds of the Quran fell on rocky soil and so it couldn't grow? That's too bad for the Quran.

    Read again & carefully.

Plants growing in Rocky place describes Jews.
Plants in Thorny place describe christians.
Plants in Good ground is Muslims.

Why is it that we get regular muslim visitors who want to hold up one little section of the bible as not only scripture, but some super-secret scripture with super-secret meaning that all of us dumb christians who spend our entire lives studying the bible do not understand but the muslims who spend almost no time studying it and actually deny the fundamental message of the bible (the divinity of Jesus Christ) as nonsense do understand and then the best part of all is that the super-secret message tells us that the religion that the scripture started is actually the wrong religion and we are supposed to deny what the bible teaches us about the divinity of Christ but believe the muslim interpretation of our christian scriptures and become muslims because the evidence is right there in our christian scriptures...???

    I'm convinced....

I think I am going to start a thread where I explain to all the ignorant muslims that the Quran *really* is saying that they should all convert to Christianity...

Go ahead. But if u r going to copy paste from posts of ApplePie & Fadi etc etc. then i would recommend first see how Muslims rebutted all their crap into their face & they had to run away to save face,& never returned on those forums.

& instead of giving general comments why don't u explain to us what is being said in these Parables & then we leave it to ppl to decide whose explanation is more reasonable !!!!!!

    uh... nope.

Allow me to explain something to you. In this scripture, Jesus is indeed comparing something to a mustard seed.... you suggest that it is the Koran... Jesus suggests it is the "Kingdom of Heaven". You see, when someone says "_____ is like ____" they are comparing the first thing with the second. In this case, Jesus was trying to teach them about the kingdom of heaven, so he compared the kindgom of heaven to a mustard seed.

The kingdom of heaven was not an allusion to something else (like the koran), rather, a mustard seed was an allusion to the kingdom of heaven.

you stick to interpreting the koran, leave the bible to the christians. ;)

Wow, isn't that a convenient interpretation...

I suggest the good ground where the seed was sown is in the hearts of properly prepared individuals.

If it must be an actual place, it most certainly is not Arabia where everyone knows not a damn thing grows, I would say it has to be Costa Rica that is the good ground.

Here you are making another major mistake, you are interpreting the explanation like it is a parable. That is wrong. Jesus explains himself exactly what the parable of the sowers means and how to understand it. The explanation of the parable is not a parable. :slap:

Maybe english isn't your first language but if you will notice, I said that "I" (meaning myself) would explain, not somebody else. I have never heard of apple pie and fadi although it sounds delicious. Also I wouldn't cut and paste someone elses argument as you seem to have done without giving a proper citation.

Anyway, I wasn't going to actually do it, I was simply pointing out how pathetic it is for someone of one religion to go around claiming they can explain another religions scripture better than they can... I guess you missed that...

start from Mt:13:3 & then go towards Mt:13:31 then u will realize that Mustard seed which is smallest refer to fourth type of seed that fell on good ground.

& later in mt:13:37 son of man again refer to the sower of fourth type of seeds which fell in good ground i.e. the good seeds

You act as if I have never read the bible and I am not familiar with it. You would be wrong to think that. I am quite familiar with the parable of the sowers and I am also quite certain as to it's meaning.

Read the bible and you will realize that Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God and that you are mistaken as to your interpretation of the parable of the sowers. :)

You know, what I posted was tongue in cheek. I surely did not expect to encounter a REAL bias against Christians and Jews. If your proclivity to denounce other religions is truly indicative of your religion, then I want NOTHING to do with it. Feel free to twist other's scripture in any way you please. It only demonstrates your intolerance and hatred towards their beliefs. When my mind is ready to shut down and be closed, I will be sure to look you up for some directions.

You missed the real irony, Comprehend. There are the ones who start out proving the Bible text is unreliable. And then they proceed to use the text to prove their religion is the best.

I prefer Muhammad's method myself: The Book is the proof of Itself.

I already alluded to that, but you chose to ignore the post. Oh well. I'll try again...

Why don't you just finish reading the page? Jesus explains it himself:

8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

8:12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

8:13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

8:14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Now, why should I take your understanding of this parable over Jesus'? Who's the Prophet here -- Him or you?

This is absolutely ridiculous. Those verses have already been explained, and by Jesus himself, sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam.

On one hand, I guess I should be thankful that other Muslims are actually reading our other Holy Texts.

On the other hand, I guess I'm not surprised this is happening. As long as some can twist whatever bias they want into something, they'll be happy. Of course, this includes a whole lot of mockery of the Old and New Testaments, but whatever, surely they know better.

Unreliable means that it's NOT in original shape. It doesn't mean it's total fabrication rather that there have been additions/ommissions/alterations.

& the reason for using your book is bacause you that's the ONLY book you believe in.
For a hindu we'll use Vedas & for Jews we'll use Tanak..........

For what reason? Are not your scriptures interesting enough? Are they not compelling?
