With Republican resistance to investment in and movement toward renewable energy, I'm not sure Biden is to blame much here. He can only work with the givens he has, and one of them is that the US still heavily relies on fossil fuels for its energy production.

The real answer is that in the short term there's not much that can be done. But in the longer term, go all in on renewable electrical production including fusion (which we appear to be WAY behind in developing) along with serious increases in efficiency.

But I know it's impossible given today's politics.

The US gets most of it's oil from Canada.
Saudi Arabia isn't cutting 2 million barrels for only the US. It's the world.
The US only gets around 500k barrels a day from Saudi Arabia.
