Arizona election audit draws Republican tourists (msn.com)

Arizona depends a lot on tourism, an industry which has suffered in recent times due to the pandemic, but the election audit continues while fires are raging across the drought-ravaged state.

That whole "Baja Arizona" idea keeps looking better and better.

It was the home of the Phoenix Suns until 1992. Now it's a "crumbling arena."

Republican legislators from other states have also visited the audit, raising concerns that they might propose similar audits in their states. However, some of Arizona's GOP legislators who initially supported the audit are now rethinking their position. Even in politics, I guess one can't hide their embarrassment for too long.

To be expected, Trump enthusiastically supports the audit, and is calling on other states to do the same.

Not a peep from this fraud 'audit.' If they found evidence of fraud, wouldn't they be shouting it from the rooftops? I wonder if we will hear anything at all from them if they don't find what they think they are looking for? Maybe anecdotes enough to let RepubliQans sustain the delusion that the election was stolen. But NEVER an admission that they were wrong. Never!

They haven't completed it yet, although it's taken longer than they had originally planned. I would expect they'll release some kind of report when they're finished. It's all just a big show. They said from the start that, no matter what the findings are, it will have absolutely no effect on the official vote tally or the results of the election, which are final and uncontestable at this point.

I can't think of any real reason that this is being done, unless they're trying to cloud the atmosphere and plan to work some shenanigans at the next election. Not that that's anything new in politics, but this could make it even worse.

How do we know these 'auditors' won't be committing some ballot fraud themselves? The chain of custody is completely compromised.
