I've always been slightly irked by the number of people (especially in the US) who say "tuna fish." Nobody ever speaks of "salmon fish" or "trout fish" or "bass fish," just salmon, trout and bass.

Odd quirks of speech tend to hang around for quite a long time.

People saying 'I feel like...' becoming far more prevalent than 'I think that...' or 'I believe...'

Ugh, that whole area...conflation of feeling and thinking, dismissal of the thoughts and feelings of others, etc...is a complete mess, imho.

I blame...*checks calendar*...Facebook. This week at least. Next week I am due to blame @Quagmire, and we seem to have a 'hairy men' explanation set for Christmas Eve.
